Please note the date change for the show, it's a week later then first posted.

July 19, 2010 by amigaprez

We have already received and continue to receive supportive comments and posts on this blog and also on other Amiga websites regarding AmiWest 2010.

We appreciate all the positive input and hope to see many of you at this year's show. We should have some very interesting things to show this year, as usual. Please continue to spread the word, especially about the date change to October 22-24, 2010. It's a week later and we apologize for fouling up your travel plans if that happened. We're hoping that you can change your plans without too much effort.

Come see it all October 22-24, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Express, 2224 Auburn Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95821. 916.923.1100.

ummmm..... listen, i'm still excited, and i don't mind having to change air, rail, and hotel reservations per se. but this is the second announced change -- the first being the hotel.

does anyone know if this is actually the final date/location? i don't want to book non-refundable airfare (again) if it might yet change.

EDIT: thanks to sundown for the update.

"THE CERTIFIED CORRECT DATES FOR AMIWEST 2010 ARE: OCTOBER 22-24, 2010. All other information remains the same."

also:
"There was no plan to have AmiWest 2010 at the Hampton Inn since they lack the room to do so."

That's from the club, I sure hope for the sake of distance travelers, nothing changes again.

I think if you have any remaining doubts why not phone Chuck and verify things?
His number is (916) 723-9846 according to http://www.sacc.org/amiwest/

There are also several email addresses available but I always found Chuck's email provider was very unreliable (I phoned in years past instead).

"We just received word today (July 20, 2010) that Trevor Dickinson, Director, A-EON Technology CVBA, has accepted our invitation to attend AmiWest 2010 and be our Saturday night banquet speaker."

More show news;

1) The show hall has two video projectors with two screens top to bottom at
both ends of the room.

2) The hotel and show hall has wireless broadband internet that everyone at
the show can use.

3) And there is free admission to the show, courtesy of our sponsors.

4) Read about our Saturday night banquet speker on the blog
http://amigaprez.wordpress.com. Be sure to get your reservations in early
for the banquet tickets, still $29.00 each. This one will sell out fast.

All this is only $75.00 per table per exhibitor for all three days! That's
only $25.00 per day for table space.

Please let us know what your intentions are as soon as possible. Just
email Chuck Washburn at chuck@amiwest.net. Our new AmiWest mail server
just for AmiWest participants has tested out great and is waiting to
receive your reservations.

See you guys there, hopefully the betatesters will have received their X1000 boards by then so that some of us can bring it to demonstrate Blender and Xena/Xorro.
