...using gource.

I have to admit, gource really does make version control far cooler to look at than it really is :D

@Karlos

Just watched it, very enjoyable, was fun seeing the developer names moving around.

I guess most of the links are the same thing, but in different qualities. Only the flash version worked in Safari all the rest where like 20 seconds and in-length and nothing but black screen... aside from that fascinating stuff.

That python explosion at the end was quite impressive - me thinks we need more explosions.

@djrikki

I actually had difficulties playing the MPEG movies in DivX player, but since they work with MPlayer and DVPlayer, I figured it wouldn't matter :)

Funny considering that even 1024x576 version ran smoothly on my 533mhz sam.

Very nice. One question: what version control software where used when AmigaOS 1.x where being worked on? Also, some will say "Final Update" is rewritting history.

I asked the same question on amiga.org. RCS, I think.

I've posted two direct YouTube URLs here, so people with no Flash but with other means of playing YouTube videos can watch them too, without digging the URLs out of the page source.

ACK! I'm so happy I didn't have to suffer from RCS/CSV.

Well, to be fair, you didn't have a mass of choice in 1985.

SSCS for the parts that were compiled on the SUN (Exec for example), RCS for the other parts.

@Chain-Q

There are five different versions of the video for download on Hyperion's web page, two in H.264 and three in MPEG-2, in different resolutions. No need to dig through page source :)
