Well ? How many ?

Where are all the parts that once were part of Commodore when thaey owned Amiga ? Patents, names, hardware, software....
And everything else that came along later..

I'll start......

Hyperion - OS4 and beyond
A-EON - License to run and sell OS4.x
A-Cube - License to run and sell OS4.x
Commodore USA - License to use Comodore and Amiga name
Commodore International B.V
Commodore Licensing B.V
Asiarim Corporation
Amiga Inc
Haage and Partners - OS3.5, OS3.9
Quickpak
Cloanto - License to Kickstart roms and Workbench upto 3.1, license to sell them with Amiga Forever
clusteruk - just because I felt sorry he wasn't on this list

Gateway ?? - All Amiga patents ??
Acer ?

Any else ?

Ridiculous isn't it ?

Martin

BIG EDIT ! : Please NO discussion about platforms, OS versions, processor families or companies doing whatever things they're doing right or wrong ! Please Don't ! We have enough of those threads...

@2iceaday

Wasn't Gateway (partly) taken over by Acer? So should we count Acer in as well?

what are the rules for the list? can we list people who announced product but never shipped? in which case there is a rich bounty of 'companies' to add such as merlancia, ACK software controls, etc., etc.

don't forget tulip computers NV; ESCOM; yeahronimo media ventures; GMT microelectronics; commodore gaming; commodore asia holdings, ltd.; commodore electronics, ltd.; CIC europe BV; C= holdings, BV....

and many, many more firms, some just bogus flavors of the same people (the ones with commodore on the front of the name, for example).

oh, yeah, i forgot about those, too. so you'll want amino, ITEC, KMOS, amiga washington, and amiga delaware to add to your list as well.

Please omly those that still own (or have something licensed like Cloanto have a license for ROMs) some part of the old or new Amiga or Commodore companies.

I konow Gateway has some patents, and that Hyperion owns stuff and so on...

You can't be on the list.
To qualify you must 1st lose multiples x your original investment.

@Metalheart

DiscreetFX Partners did not make the list. Our attempt to buy Amiga Inc. with partners in 2006 was met with the insane demand of 100 millions dollars.

LOL

The investors considered Amiga Inc. a complete joke ever since.

Of course there was the PCI Amiga and Siamese x86 project that was part of the Gateway plans until they dumped it. Lost my shirt and house with that one.

I am in, cool.

@DiscreetFX

Jeez, I'm surprised it was such a low figure... if you're going to ask ridiculous prices, you might as well go big. Maybe their lawyers told them that "gazillion" isn't a real number so they scaled back.
