@ssolie
i saw the amiwest video the other day, i wanted to say, all thoses ideas you said you were testing:
- frequent releases
- os4 blog
- os4 site
- os4 forum
...there were other things you said, some "unsuccessful attempts you briefly spoke about .. team coordination'n stuffs .. and other ideas i can't remember right now but all those, they're great :)
when i saw the video i thought they were all *that* nice i'll have to come and post about it, so here it is ..
thanks

@freeaks

I watched "realtime" and I was so enchanted with having a programmer asked to take on that task as a volunteer. Then to listen to him. He exudes such unreserved friendliness and honestly... it was just amazing.

I was moved to tell my fellow engineers the next day at work about it.

You just WANT to reciprocate! Everything about Steven is "we are in this together".

Thanks for starting this thread.

He also seemed accepting of other Amiga-like OS's...
Now if we could bring them all together...

@Lou

You learn from a show like AmiWest that the Amiga community is nothing like the crap you see on the forums. I only wish that everyone could see the real Amiga community like some of us have.

@freeaks

And they are going to redo "rom & kernel reference manuals"!

Yes, that's great... Solie's stepup as team leader brought some good (and long needed) moves, especially compared with the previous "sphinx like communication" with unknown entities...

@KimmoK

rkms, yes indeed this one too.. but there were still some more..
i'd have to watch the video again to remember.

hey, one of the other ideas wasn't about creating a place for new users ?
where they could discover amigaos basics iirc ?
a place for those who don't know amigaos well yet .. that's a great idea too...
..there were still some more.

and also i noticed all the details about last changes since update2 on os4 official site..
this and the blog, give users a better view over all the progress being made.
less need to harass someone (devs) to get a clue about what's happening.
that kind of efforts contribute to give os4 a better image.

@scabit
I must admit I have a better impresion of ssolie after watching a bit of the presentation video, he seems to be a moderate in words at least.

@freeaks

Well said. I'm not an OS4 user, but I think Steven's made a very positive impact so far, particularly in improving communication.
