In appreciation of the joy of giving as well as all Amiga Platforms and it's users I am offering my handpicked mod collection for immediate download. You will have until 18:00 (EST) on Dec 21, 2011 to retrieve your gift. (I don't have a dedicted server, so my personal PC has been volunteered for this task).

The zipped archive contains 198 classic amiga mods. I would recommend Deli-tracker or Eagle Player since this collection conatins various sound module formats.

Awesome.

I agree, it is a great idea. I have had these tracks sitting on my A 1200 for over 10 years. They even survived several Hard drive crashes. Now they will live forever :)

For MP3, you'll have to convert them (The archive is already 44MB, how huge would a MP3 archive be ? ).

I am glad you like them, though you flatter me. I edited 3 of these tracks, but all of them are from other composers. I can write music as well as I can speak Romulan :)

These are from my personal archive that I have collected from various sources and ripped from games over the years.

I have used ModPlug in the past for the PC. You can rip them as wavs then encode them using any old Mp3 encoder. It will take a while but it is worth the effort.

If you have something like "droidsound" for the iPods, you would be able to play them in their original format (and a host of other tunes from SID, to Megadrive/SNES and AY tunes)

It is a bit on the sad side, but these mods capture the spirit of the Amiga's glory days. It doesn't really matter what you use to play them, it's the memories they envoke that matters.

If it helps, I listen to my Amiga music on my Amiga 1200 Tower. She still runs like a charm and sounds as classic as it gets :)

Cheer up - it's Christmas and there is a certain T Dickinson who will shortly be changing things so that these mods will be played on lots of new Amigas in the New Year.
