| Ok. Firstly, i am a new member here, so if there was a similar poll to this, i'm asking a moderator to delete it. If the poll stays, you are free to correct my english. Well, as the subject suggest i'm calling all classic Amiga owners to participate to this poll. I believe the results would be interesting. You can state your hardware configuration if you like.

I picked option #4, it's an A4060T/PicassoIV. My main system is the µA1 & the two are connected by a KVM switch for those times when I need it. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

I picked the 4th option. I occasionaly use my A3000 and A4000. For the past 13 months, my µA1-C is my main machine. But all 3 computers are networked. _________________ --------- AmigaClyde

No, I assure you it's the 4th option, because I only use the classics on occasions, maybe once or twice weekly, but I operate my µA1-C on a daily bases. _________________ --------- AmigaClyde

As per above. I also own a µA1 and my classic machines are now used only occasionally.
I still prefer my A2500/060 to play mp3s since music seems to be better through its Delfina card vs the µA1 onboard sound + software processing.

Yes, i know. My mistake.
I pick the 3rd option, as i own an Amiga 1200 with a BlizzardPPC and a BVision. The 603 CPU runs at 175mhz and i think i will replace the crystal to overclock it at 200 or 210mhz. From what i've read, it seems pretty safe. I use my Amiga everyday and it's my favourite computer. Playing games, running programs, accessing the internet and everything! I'm very disapointed by the lack of a desent web browser, though.

| I chose the first option, "I'm still using it actively! My amiga has an 68k CPU only.". But, perhaps there should have been a new option added, which would have been the one I would have actually selected, such as :
"I'm still using it actively! My amiga has an 68k CPU only. I plan on switching to a new machine (AmigaOne or Amy 05) with OS4.0 when it becomes available."
I use my A4000 with OS3.0 every day, and am hoping that Eyetech hasn't abandoned the AmigaOne XC.

I picked option 4 as I rarely use my classic machines of which I have 4 working and one dead. I prefere to use my A1 with OS4 as much as I can but use a PC for the web use when Amiga browsers are not up to the job (usualy when shopping, Ebay etc). |

So did I, I have a towered A4000 OS3.9 with Warp Engine + 112mb ram 30Gb HD and full house of Picasso IV (Pablo, Concerto, Paloma etc). But can't get a network card. So all Internet and email done by PC. But everything else, database, word processing etc all done on the Amiga. Must say it's easier to get around on the Amiga, especially with Dopus. |

I am sad to say I had to answer "rarely use it", even though I have all of these in my living room: A4000, 68030 Access, 68030 A1200T, 68040 + 603 A500
It seems time just doesn't allow for anough hobbies. And I seem to constantly generate new projects, and hardly ever drop or complete any of the old ones.
In my office I also have an AmigaOne G3 SE, which I last booted to test some PCIe bridge chips and a PCIe graphics card. It didn't work, and I needed to get a betatester NDA for OS4 to get another driver. I got that NDA last week, but somehow haven't gotten around to completing it yet. My bad.
For every day use I use my work laptop, either in Windows (for playing Diablo II) or Linux (for work or hobby projects). I also use a Linux home server and a Linux workstation (the latter one at work, obviously). Add to that some on and off fiddling with a pair of RS/6k workstations (133MHz 604e) etc etc, and you've pretty much got me covered. Well, close enough, we don't have to list ALL the strange boxes). I picked option #1, but the real choice would have been: I have a CSPPC in my A4K whose PPC side is broken and only works as a 68060 card and I have another CSPPC which was working until some months ago and has recently reached Amiga Center for repair. |

I have a 1200 060 with Mediator and a Voodoo3 using ADSL; we're very happy together. Although obviously it would be nice to have some new hardware, I have not yet seen an option I think caters fully for my needs. I watch the A1/OS4.0 developments but I want to be able to run classic Amiga games at a decent speed. I would like to one day support OS4.x but I wonder if ultimately the best route for me is using Amithlon in conjunction with the 68K version of UAE. :-/ |

| Shock horror, but yet again there's no accurate option for me here.... I have a classic amiga (a1200/bppc/grex/etc), but its running MOS..... my main system however is an amithlon/os3.9 machine,... not exactly a "classic" amiga, but it runs the classic OS on mostly 680x0 instructions, only with a1 speeds (and then some) so it does pretty much anything I need/want.

| I voted "I rarely use it, these days. I prefer another computer for every day use", but the other Computer is an A1. Does that count? And I think I use it more than rarely! _________________ Rage quited 29th May 2011 |

| My A1200+PPC sits on the floor next to the A1 but hasn't been switched on for over 2 years. No Need.
