Hi guys,

I'm interested in getting hi-resolution photos of all the different Amiga keyboards ever produced, for a project I'm considering. (something like this image on the BBoAH: A4000 Keyboard (large image)

I need them all, each model ever made, each language, and any keyboards with interesting custom keys (ie red A keys or the C= key etc.) and all coloured keys (ie black, beige, something else). My interest is in the decals, so please make sure they are clearly readable.

If you could include some sort of ruler or measuring instrument across the top of the keyboard for technical reference that would help too.

Please include any Commodore or Amiga logos around the keyboard (ie on the keyboard case for big boxes or the computer case for wedge Amigas)

You have a PM. Please remember to include something to measure scale across.. ie a ruler or tape measure with millimeters or similar clearly marked on it.

I want to send these images to a company who makes custom keyboards, or decals / stickers for keyboards.

Making enquiries about custom made decals... for modding or refurbishing keyboards. Can't make any promises, but will give it a good go to find out how much to get something made. How cool would it be to be able to make a black keyboard without having to harvest keys from existing keyboards, and still have the left and right Amiga keys, Del / Help etc... especially in international languages?

I'm mainly looking at getting decals. If you can paint an A600 keyboard black, you could then apply the decals.

Of course, I'd need a nice hi-res photo of the A600 keyboard decals you'd be needing, to find out, so I can find out if it's do-able or affordable. hint-hint.

I can do a very low resolution picture of a norwegianified a4k keyboard ( i used keys from a norwegian a600 with a broken keyboard ribbon cable ) 0.3 mp phone cam :S

Ermm.. it really needs to be legible so the manufacturer can make decent replicas of them. Perhaps a few (12?) close up photos which can be stitched together to simulate a hi-resolution photo?

If you're reading this thread, and thinking someone else has probably already given me an image of your obscure keyboard, please disregard such thoughts! Only 3 people have replied to me so far. I'd really like to have the entire gamut of keyboard styles and layouts and languages available so I can get an effective deal happening.

Oh and don't be ashamed if your keyboard is dirty or anything like that. All I need is all letters and symbols to be complete, in focus, and a scale to measure them with included in the photo. I won't be showing these to anyone but the manufacturer, so your grubby secret is safe with me ;)

Is there not a huge demand for these sorts of things? I have received a sample pack from the manufacturers and the product is really nice.

They actually make custom and programmable keyboards also, although I don't know how much they cost.

Come on guys (and girls too!). I need photos of your Amiga keyboards! I want to get a quote for a set of stickers/decals to put on your old Amiga keyboard after you clean it up and scratch the old ones off, or you paint it black (or other colours) and want white letters so you can read them.

Of course I want to cater to the whole community, hence I'm interested in getting key sets for each language possible. The if we can get a base set of keys with extra international keys, maybe on sheet of stickers would be enough, and we could order a few hundred black sets and a few hundred white sets. They also have other colours, so the red Amiga keys could be part of the extra-set.

But I need your help to organize this. If you like this, and you think it's an idea worth supporting, send me a hi-res digital photo of your keyboard with a measuring tape or ruler across the top for purposes of scale for the manufacturers.

And evangelize! Feel free to link to this post in other forums (even forums in other languages) I'll take photos from anyone.
