That's the same TV I've got hooked up to my Amiga 600. It's a nice TV and the games look great on it. If you do a lot of work in interlaced screen modes the TV also acts like a flicker fixer too!
I only have two complaints regarding this TV when used with the Amiga. My first complaint is when I'm using Workbench and I move the mouse pointer about the screen it leaves what I can only describe as a water ripple effect. This is only a minor problem though as you do get used to it.
My second complaint is when using an Amiga through a scan doubler. The TV only seems to like standard VGA resolutions and it's optimal resolution of 1440x900. Again this is a minor problem as you could just stick with the SCART input instead.
Incidentally, eBuyer have that same TV in stock for less than £150 inc. free delivery.
Kind regards,

I assume that you have connected your Amiga with RGB/Scart?

I guess thats because the TV (at least according to the specs) supports frequencies of 56hz upwards....

I dont live in the UK. I found it for £160 from overclockers.co.uk, and they do ship internationally :)
I plan to make the following uses with this TV:
1. With Sam440/OS4.1
2. Xbox 360
I assume I will not have any problems with the above?
Thanks!

Funny that you mentioned that, I have purchased this little guy here:
http://www.hdtvonpc.com/proddetail.php?prod=hop_superacolor
using it on my monitor this little guy
http://www.onino.co.uk/monitors/lg_flatron_l1750s_silver_black_17_lcd_monitor.html
and the quality IS UNBELIEVABLE! First I can watch TV on my Monitor now i.e, my monitor have become 100% officially a TV, it have both composite and S-Video port it support PAL/NTSC/SECAM of all variation of the world, the screen is clear, crisp and BEAUTIFUL.
I am playing my PS 2 on it and it even beats my brother's LCD TV that only handles NTSC signal, I use my A1200 (PAL) on it and the quality is great like a normal TV, I run my Apple II gs and I have not tried my C64 because I am playing Parsonia 3 for my PS 2 at the moment and I am addicted like no tomorrow. It is much cheaper to buy this and get more than your money's worth if you already have a monitor instead of buying a whole brand new TV..
I don't even need a flicker fixer because I have my setting set into interlace and no flicker or annoys to the eyes because this box with the monitor cure the disease so to speak.
I wish I have a camera to take pictures of what it can do in terms of quality, if you want HDTV one you can get this one too it is as cheap as the analog one too:

Scaler artifacts. Almost, but not entirely, like jpeg artifacts. I have the Samsung 17" LCD-TV, it's unbearable for video sources. I use it only as a PC monitor, as the scaler artifacts are beyond belief._________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). | @Foody The main problem with your solution is the lack of rgb/scart connector. Last edited by Everblue on 01-Jan-2009 at 10:22 PM.

I know I like it Panthro and SCART or RGB is not a major factor me, anyways. I have found this Panthro as a permanent solution and not a temporary one. As I deal with computers a lot and I upgrade my monitor all the time I will never have to buy a real TV ever again until the day I die. Why should I buy a TV when a monitor is ten times cheaper and I get ten times better quality and this TV box is only FORTY box. I AM LITERALLY buying a TV for FORTY box.
I can use my xBox 360, COMMODORE 64 all my toys on it and I love it WAY better than a REAL TV. Honestly.
I am actually going to buy me another one of the normal ANALOG ones for emergency backup and buy the black model (HDTV) one. I need to stock on them just in case the company goes down, no more supported whatever...I need to make sure I don't lose on it. |

So what's your problem? After your suggestion there was TWO posts, one saying that Samsung has a bad rep on their LCD TVs, another asking which model specifically has been problematic.
Seriously, calm down. We will get to your suggestions in a minute. One question: Can it accept 625i/525i on the RGB inputs, or are they as braindead as all the rest of them?
I just don't get why the industry has to treat a VGA connector and a SCART connector differently. Just connect them both to the same scaler chip using a triple-input ADC and an analog crosspoint matrix. Seriously. That would be so much simpler for everyone involved. _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). As was stated this is likely to be scalar artefact. You can actually get rid of it by playing with the zoom settings, but then you end up losing part of the usable screen area.
