| Chip designer Jeri Ellsworth posted info about unfinished project: Amiga500 on a chip. Here's the video: youtube She won't be back to the project - it makes no sense today, because FPGA Amigas are available or are actively developed. Project backfired because of the 2005 cost of flash and curious "lack of fan base"... _________________ "Marxism must abhor nothing so much as the possibility that it becomes congealed in its current form. It would be nice for the original schematics to make their way to the FPGA implementors however! I'm sure they could squash a lot of the remaining bugs in the implementations. |

One of the Amiga designer has schematics "with Jay Miner notes on it", whoever it is - I don't know, would it be of any use for FPGAArcade/Natami team? who knows - probably - but at first those project are not the exact copies computer we like, and then - mentioned schematics probably relate to Amiga1000/Amiga500 and not to Amiga1200/Amiga4000... but actually it's hard for me to speak, because I do not know the Natami/FPGAArcade details _________________ "Marxism must abhor nothing so much as the possibility that it becomes congealed in its current form. As I see it, the Minimig is the better option, A500 on a chip would have been a pretty limited machine (but maybe not as limited as C64DTV) - plug it in and play, nothing more. _________________ "Marxism must abhor nothing so much as the possibility that it becomes congealed in its current form. The NatAmi aims to be more than compatible, it aims to be better. It might have helped with the FPGAArcade though, since it's an expanded MiniMig. |

| Ah, thanks for letting us know about that video. Also, Amiga, Inc. had no response to using OS 1.3 in such an Amiga chip-in-a-joytstick.

It makes no sense today, because Jeri has explained that the market is not into games-in-joysticks anymore. Quote:

Do you mean it would be more hackable than v2 or v3 of the C64DTV? With those versions of the DTV, you can turn them back into real computers (i.e., with keyboard, disk drive).

Great one, A500 could go smaller then minimig!
Could this code be used to program SAM`s FPGA for OCS emulation? We need just the OCS,CIA and floppy calls I&I suppose since 68k emulation is built in ...
