Hello all,
I've just released a long-time-coming update to Amitunes, my music library management application. It's still not finished, but it's pretty usable IMHO at the moment :) It's aimed at medium spec classics, mainly for MAS players and such, but can be used under OS4. In the future I plan a better GUI and more functionality for high end Amigas...

Download it here and let me know what you think - good or bad!

Clicky!

It's mainly intended for use on my own MP3 player jukebox, a project I've been working on for quite a while now but is nearing completion.

Thanks for trying it out

@Daedalus

Thanks. I've just downloaded. I'll have a play over the weekend.

@Daedalus

What a lousy, font-insensitive gui . I think it's time for NTUI, isn't it?

http://www.amiforce.de/thread.php?threadid=1345&boardid=4&sid=22cc075fb97219e582d127a837698f4e&page=7

If I use a big font like Vera Sans 17, I get a guru. Smaller fonts work.

Don't know if this is already in, but with a few commands you can also get directly playback for MP3, WAV, MOD and such. I also finsihed the arexx.include that isn't be dependent on any blitzlibs, so shouldn't need FPU.

@Wanderer

LOL, yeah, the GUI sucks, though it didn't guru for me when I used fonts that were too big. The intention is to do another version with a full GUI that allows drag and drop, adjustable sizes, sortable, multi-column listviews, internal decoding using your includes etc. That version is sure to use the NTUI toolkit and be less dependent on BlitzLibs.

However this version is supposed to be as compact as possible, mainly intended for a basic A1200 with a MAS player attached. In my case anyway, it will rarely be seen, output going to a small alphanumeric LCD instead.

Thanks for your work on the ARexx include, I'll try it out whenever I'm working on it next!

Edit: Crikey, you're right - it just crashed on startup with a size 17 font. Huge fonts used to work, but I guess I must have recently added some sort of calculation based on the size. It does have some vague size sensitivity to get it looking better on AGA etc. but I don't have any safety checks in it yet.
You'll need to delete the prefs file in the progdir to get it to start again

LOL, that's brilliant Yup, tis no secret that I really like the whole iTunes/iPod control setup, and thought it would be the best bet for this player, especially in its (not yet working) jukebox mode, where you'll only get a basic output on a small LCD display on the front of the device.

I guess I'll rename it if I get a letter from Apple's lawyers
