terrific news, paolo!

as an aside, have the AROS devs considered leveraging some of the terrific work done in the BSD community on drivers? the haiku guys were able to accelerate bringup of their own native wifi-stack as well include support for a tremendous number of devices by creating a glue layer between their networking stack and a modified stack from freeBSD. and the BSD license is tremendously permissive without being viral like GPL-licensed code from the GNU/linux communities.

So it seems that AROS is really gaining on development.
This WiFi support is just another milestone. Anyways, two thumbs up for AROS.

@all

Yes, that was Neil. Sorry for the confusion to Neil, Nick and everyone here, but today's just been a hard one. And I shouldn't test and write news when I am tired.

do i need to use one of the recent nightly builds for this, or will be latest version of icaros be sufficient? this is the last element to convince myself to install AROS on one of my notebook partitions.

@eliyahu
icaros 1.2.3 should work ... if I recall I'm actually using an older build.

@paolone

Neat.

Wondering how much longer it will be before it may actually be deemed viable for me to move onto this scenario :

AROS and Linux Ultimate Edition Usage Higher or the same as AOS?

Either way, the more work done to AROS, the more likely it may happen in future like this, time will tell.

Cheers.

P.S. Does automatic Internet connection work on AROS yet? As it didn't for me recently when I updated from 1.1.5 to 1.2? Still gotta do it manually then it seems?

Is it working in the later version of 1.2.3?

Cheers again for answering.

Absolutely. AROS is a fantastic development and I hope it continues gathering momentum without the CBM USA noise tarnishing the image.
