Ok the Hyperion programmers were always easy to spot on this board as they have special designations under their avatars.

I'm not asking for such for the MOS team but it would be nice if at least in a thread we knew which guys on here are part of the MOS team (and perhaps if they want they can say which one of the members of the team they are).

From posts they have made I take it that Fab and jacadcaps are MOS OS team developers? Am I correct and is there anyone else?

@fairlanefastback

Wouldn't morphzone be the best place to look for MorphOS developers?

Most probably, but thats not what I asked.

I was inquiring on their handles here since there seem to be a few of them here answering questions, but I'm not sure on who is who with their handles here. Since people are posting some of their questions and answers in the proper forum on here I'm merely asking (again in the proper forum) what their handles are here. Not everyone asking questions necessarily has an account at Morphzone. So when they ask here and someone here answers with an air of authority it would be nice to know if they are indeed a MOS team developer or not.

Communication from that team to public questions has a place on Morphzone as its exclusively MorphOS related, it has a place here in the proper forum since Amigaworld has an Alt Amiga forum, which we are in at the moment. Its icon is even partially the MorphOS butterfly. Its also a forum unto itself that anyone can skip reading if they like here.

@fairlanefastback

Well you could always look at their handles on morphzone and then look for the same ones here.

Personally, if I wanted to ask a MOS dev something, I'd head over to morphzone because I'd be most likely to receive a fast response there. Even if the MOS devs regularly visit this site too, I'm willing to bet that all of them visit morphzone more often.

If there is some easy repository of that info over there I'm not aware of it. If you are, please share. :) And while many people do use the same handle everywhere not everyone always does besides.

I didn't say I wanted to ask them something right now as I thought I made clear in my previous post. I'd merely like to know what their handles are here so that when I see them post I know its a dev, and therefore know what they say can be taken as the correct answer to a MOS question, like when someone else asks a question and gets an answer. And if there is already a pertinent thread they are already involved in here it would be nice to know who they are if I did have a question that came up based on the topic at hand.

Ok, opening the About MorphOS box you get some 21 names (excluding the special thanks, that indeed include some not so unimportant work like Trance 68k JIT and the WarpOS emulation, or FFS2 or AHI..). The nicknames I know (not everybody is registered here, however a bunch is) are:

Fabien Coeurjoly: Fab
Chris Hodges: platon42
Gregorz Kraszewsky: krashan
Marcin Kurek: morgoth
Marcin Kwiatkowsky: marcik
Ilkka Lehtoranta: itix
Emmanuel Lesueur: Emm
Frank Mariak: cyfm or Pega2
Mark Olsen: bigfoot
Jacek Piszczek: JacaDcaps
Christian Rosentreter: tokai
Michal Ribinsky: R.I.P.
Nicolas Sallin: henes
Ralph Schmidt: laire
Andre' Siegel: JoBBo
Stefan Stuntz: stuntzi
Marek Szyprowsk: I don't know...
Michal Wozniak: kiero (the megahero!)

Hope this is somewhat useful.And nobody has anything to complain. If there are errors, feel free to correct me.

Kind regards,
Andrea

I think Harry "Piru" Sintonen is also MorphOS developer.
