| Hello,
Talking ASP I mean e.g. Google Docs. My simple point since Amiga lacks programmers, software, compatibility etc. - why not thinking of sorting this out via ASP model?
All we need: - superb browser (the software, perfect) or the proper proxy serving html (worse) - dedicated application server - additional formats/applications support at the server (numerous frameworks/plugins exist)
A simple idea that pretty much solves the problem in such applications as productivity and more.

I don't really think this is a good approach for basic tools. Word processors, spreadsheets & so forth need to be running locally.
To be honest, I'd much rather have Java on the Amiga - mainly 'cos I program in Java. That would let you use stand alone apps as well as web-based apps.
But, of course, I'd still want my basic tools running natively. What's the point i going to the effort and expense of getting an Amiga just to run ASP apps that you can run just as easily on a cheap linux box? |

Hmm ASP ? He is strange, even for a Goth ... http://www.thetalesofasp.com/ _________________ AmigaONE. Haha. Just because you can put label on it does not make it Amiga.
I borrowed this comments from here (#27 & #28): http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=38873&forum=2&start=20&order=0 |
