nicomen, thanx for always answering my lame coding questions!

blacky_stardust, hehe thanx for taking that nightly challenge, and
helping me out with the weird parts of the code.

varthall and afxgroup; thanx for figuring out how to compile gl stuff
under aos4! it wouldn't be possible without you!

edit: gah, forgot to mention Itix! Thanx for the help man!


How to get it running;

Start some program that uses GL, 'One' by Universe does it for me.
This is needed as there's some problem with the way SDL/minigl init code.

Start Xmoto, and have a blast!

Bugs;

On my computer i get some weird mesh really close to the camera, it looks
like huge flickery transparent triangles. Please report how it looks on
your screen, and if you have any ideas on how this could be fixed, please
mail me aswell.

Have fun for now, a better version will come one day.

the game works here atleast (rrotage didnt) so thats a start... anyway seems the polygon engine has a few problems, check out the frontlayer code(main polygon draw) (try to disable it to see if it helps though it would be useless without it (time and pickups needed is listed in this section) but it would atleast point to the problem (atleast where it is located).

anyway... would be nice to see how you managed to compile as it may be one of the things you disabled to do so (if any).

Another nice game Thank you. I dont know how its possible but I have NO problems what so ever with neither motoX or your previous port. I dont even need to run another openGL program before (pads my XE )
Howcome its suddenly possible to port openGL games? Has something been changed or did you find a brilliant shortcut?
Are you working on any other ports which you would like to disclose?

it has worked for a long time but many games use unsupported stuff and therefor much more work to port it to os4 , there is a few games atm that is fully portable without much fuss but i dunno..i wish i had more time but i don't, but lets see when i have my summer vacation.

ps: nothing has changed in the sdk since pre 4 on this subject (gl) , atleast not for non betatesters. (but games like this one has been possible since upd3.)

@spotUP

if i disable 'INTERRUPT' tooltype on my radeon icon i haven't problems but with interrupt enabled (vsync i think) i have strange triangles on screen, tha same problem with wipeout, but if i switch to window mode it works well, there are (i think) same problem with radeon2d/3d drivers with vsync. Hey betatesteeer ?!?!

ohh! nice find! =) i was actually able to play it without getting an headache now.
so i guess the code is allright then...
there's only one irritating little bug left now, when chosing levels, the currently selected level don't get highlighted. and there's that initialization bug... i wouldn't feel comfortable with an os4depot upload yet though. we'll just have to hope for an updated sdl release i guess.

i'd say .. don't expect any sdl updates anytime soon unless its one of thoose projects richard can(decided to) keep updating (you might recall his comments a while back on thi very forum).

I'm still working on SDL for OS 4.0. Version 1.2.10 is done, and I guess the shared library implementation is about 50% done.

Works well here, with the Radeon tooltype INTERRUPT set to no, but sound is corrupted even using internal sound, unlike rRootage. I think I'm one of the few lucky to not have any initialization problem at startup.
