For anyone intested that uses a prism2 wifi card with OS4, ive released last nite to OS4.depot a signal monitor.
WifiSignal is Signal Quality/Strength Meter for the Prism2 range of Wifi Cards.
It includes an optional docky that shows Signal Quality on scale of 5 Bars and SigNoise Ratio.

See a screenshot here: Screenshot
Get it here: WiFiSignal.lha

An updated version of prism2.device is needed, get it here: Prism2.device v1.6

Enjoy

@Fransexy

If there was enough demand then probably, but as it stands I wrote it with just OS4 in mind.
Perhaps if/ when i go back through and tidy up the code a bit more. No promises tho.

@Curty

Great stuff!.

Now i wonder if current prism2.device allows for some kind of API calls for finding networks around instead of connecting to the first one it finds.

@Ami603

Thanks, glad you like it.
Dunno about that tho, suppose something could be made to snoop for networks,
The information found then could be sent to setprism2defaults(or even have setprism2defaults incorperated into it as the src is available).
But right now im prob not the man for that, or I could perhaps look into it.

@Curty

Sometime ago i started this user interface to integrate with setprism2defaults by storing a xml file with the settings and starting it from the setprism2defaults exe without the need of adding commandline options.Currently i do lack the time to finish it, but i guess it could be a start if we could integrate everything, signal ratio,device settings and network detection in one single package.
Screenshot:

Mail me if you have time to finish it, and/or integrate with yours.

@Ami603

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
That program is looking good dont give up on it,
basically it sounds a good idea to intergrate them later on but I too dont really have the time at the moment.
Im currently studying towards a degree in computer and mathmatical sciences,
also I have a couple of little programs on the go (one being a docky scope for TuneNet).
If/When I get the time in the future I'll you know and perhaps we can come up with something.

Cheers and all the best
Curtis
