I think Ken of Ken's icons fame has a package to modify os3.x to look like os4, it has everything you need to do that, i was gonna have a go at putting it all together myself when i found amiwm so i may still have a go

amiwm compiled under Cygwin-X (I currently don't have an Amiga). The code needs a lot of work. it is now working really slow because of very simply images support. Don't know if it could be easily ported to Amiga X server.

My debugging capabilities are very limited (only printfs) but i can help you with graphics and coding a little bit.

It's an image of working X server with modified amiwm.

It would be nice of it can read out the theme you selected for AmigaOS4 and put it in that style!

I've done that in the past with X11 for OSX. You were not able to see the difference between a MAC application and a X11 app.

good work! a suggestion, change the fonts to the one aos4 use aswell, and it will look a lot more os4ish, atm it looks more like 3.1 with an os4 skin.

OS4.0 uses Bitstream Vera Sans, am I right? My only resources are screenshots... Give me more info :). I also need OS4.0 screenshot with pressed button.

Support for OS4.0 themes will be hard thing for me to do. I don't know specification. And now "my" amiwm version supports only *.xpm files through Xpm library.

now this is the X11 on OS4 with OS4 like style..

the next things to do are:

1) Catch the system fonts and use it
2) Catch the system theme and use it

i'll put all on os4depot when it is finished
