| Great advert!
OWB has been shown on both Hyperion's and ACube's AmigaOS4.1 screenshots. Does it mean it is included? I would welcome such a move. |

Are you kidding? It isn't more usefull than IBrowse unless it's been improved a lot wich I doubt. |

I've got the impression that it will load a lot more sites than IBrowse do.
What I meant with the previous message was that IBrowse still should be bundled with the OS, in addition to OWB.

If I recall correctly the IBrowse that ships with OS4 is the crippled demo version, while OWB is the full version. Considering that, and that OWB is a more modern browser, I'd much rather have just OWB and forego the bloat of having two browsers. For those who want the demo version of IBrowse, it could be uploaded to OS4Depot.

Its in the contribution directory, you don't have to install it, lots of room on a CD. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

It isn't the demo version but a special version for os 4 wich doesn't have as many limits as the demo version. |

Why can't Firefox be converted / compiled for OS4? Would that not be the simpliest solution in the end.
What about running some sort of emulation package so that a version of Firefox could run in OS4 as a "hosted" programme rather than run natively. It may be a bit slow but at least you would have a good window on the web.
Q!

There is finally activity on the Amizilla mailing list again. Apparently the Cairo port lit a fire of hope under some bums.

It's looking amazingly good, and not that expensive either. Of course, well worth the money! Great screenshots, even that of a native GUI-look of Workbench. I hope Hyperion Entertainment will include OS4.1-versions of famous themes like Zami. A reworked version of them should be possible :) _________________ Helge K. Have you used the full version of IBrowse? Have you used OWB? The fact that you can't open several windows with OWB or tabs for that matter is a big limitation. It needs work and lots of it. It's usable but can not replace IBrowse IMHO. If anything they should include both browsers as OWB is good as a complement for sites that won't work with IBrowse. Note that not all sites works with OWB either. |

Annoying.
I would really love the opportunity to buy this but no hardware = no point in buying software. _________________ Sam |

I was under the impression that OWB uses WebKit and so is as functional as Safari... I can understand that there would be amiga integration problems (eg lack of tabs is probably caused by the Reaction tab control being different to gnome's or whatever is used on Linux these days) but otherwise it should be a better browser overall. Besides, I haven't used it for about a year now, but IIRC the OS4 IBrowse doesn't support multiple windows or tabs either.
