HI ALL!
Was scheduled for the (near) future an autohide function for AmiDock?
I like VERY much to have a function like that with Always on top option turned on...

@Cyborg

Excusme for sinthetic explanation...
However Mr-Z explanation was exactly how I mean...
I like to can hide AmiDock when I dont need it (like startbar of windos or Worckbench status/menu bar)...
Now its ok?
I like to have that function because I like to use it in conjunction with "always on top" function so when I move mouse on bottom(if AmiDock was on bottom), AmiDock will appear(maybe with nice scroll-up(personalizable) effect), an I can launch my preferred programs without have to iconify or press depth gadget of windows to can see AmiDock...
Only that
If you have any other doubts ask me!

@centaurz

AFAIK minimizer.docky wasnt configurable as I hope and greater problem was that when its active if I've to chose an icon placed on a SubDock nd minimizer time was "short" I can choose anything because the docks(main and sub) disappear toghter before I can press any icon...
Not exactly usefull as I described up...

@Tuxedo

Just in case you are not aware you can set a hot-key to toggle the hide state, noy the same as auto hide, but a good compromise in the mean time.

@broadblues

Was just going to mention the hot-key function.
It's a little annoying if you are used to windows from work, but once you get used to it it's fine.

But I would like to see an auto-hide function at some point.

@broadblues

I know the hot-key function but really dont like it(in general not for AmiDock only)...
Sorry...
Maybe an enanched minimizer.docky would work right too...

However the reference app to look(for features) was the really good "Rocket Dock" for windows that I think was really a good app!

@Tuxedo

If you use the dragbar you can double click it and hide the rest of amidock. If you're looking for something more, you're out in the cold...

@zerohero

I know the double click on drag bar but dont like it and I have AmiDock on bottom-center so wasnt usabel/nice to see doing that...
I need (really) an AutoHide function like the one on windows start bar(or RocketDock)...
I dont thik was too complex to realize(or I'm wrong?)

Quick fix in the meantime is do what I do.

Get a bigger monitor/more pixels. I run widescreen 21.3" at 1680 x 1050 and you hardly notice AmiDock down there. Workbench is awsome this way.

I don't it's going to be trivial, cos you need to know where the mouse is even when amidock is not the active window. I suspose that means some kind of filter to input device.

@broadblues

Don't windows get mouse over events when they are not active? How entirely-not-useful.

@gregthecanuck

I'm not 100% sure about that, but they surely don't get when hidden and thus not in existance
