You beat me to the drawing board. However, I was thinking of drawing a wolf going around the moon rather than a boing-ball. Your logo looks great, but the boing-ball, in my own opinion, is as overused as the "Ami" naming theme (AmiCAD, AmiKit, AmiWord, AmiTeX, AmiSoundEd, AmiThis, AmiThat, etc.). Please do not take this criticism as being harsh. Again, it looks great despite it involving the boing-ball.

Do you mean like putting "Win"something or "I" something?

Exactly! "Win, I, Ami, and Gnu" may describe the platform on which the program runs, but I would rather the name of the program 1) describe what the program does, or 2) have an unrelated-yet-cool-sounding name (TimberWolf meets this qualification). Once again, for those who like such naming/logo conventions, go for it. This is just my preference.

Isn't the fox logo subject to copyright restrictions as well? Anything that looks remotely like it is off limits I'm sure.

@ne_one

Yes and no!

This was my little idea of fun, when I draw it, it is not supposed to be used by Timberwolf later on, noone has asked me to do a logo. I did it just because the fun of it..

Anyway, thanks for the cheers..

I vote it should be the official logo.

There shouldn't be a legal problem as IceWeasel uses a logo that's similar to the FireFox logo. (of course I'm not a lawyer)

This one is great!

Hope it will be the official trademark of the software!

The little wolf is so sweet I have already taken it as an avatar!

And of course DO NOT remove the boing ball.

@Alkaron

I like the fact that it is a wolf and not a fox. But I do agree with the phantom to a degree.

Timberlake. Timberwolf. Thimberwolf. Thunderwolf. It's not even out yet and it already has a few denominations.
