@broadblues

I like the fact that's not just a straight port, but that it has been Amiga'ised too (e.g. the Arexx port...), and that there seem to be at least one Amiga library too (blenderpluginapi.library). I'm very curious to see the capabilities of the video editing part, how does Blender perform when used as a video editor?

I'm 100% fed up with Autocad version vs .dxf version -problems.

I think I need something better. Perhaps blender is it then...

Terrific man! This is almost the reason I bought my Sam!!!

It was the first software Acube showed me at Pianeta Amiga! It did ran quite decently on a modest 440EP (at 1280x1024) which is slower than current Flex model in both CPU/Ram speed and Graphic Card too! (so i guess it should perform pretty nicely on my Flex ).

Just made a small donation!

@Tuxedo

Looks like everyone who write any interesting software today, already have that update, but not users :) That all feels like after public os4.1.1 update, many new software will be out (tunenet, codebench, blender, firefox and others)

I think the Santa's elves @ "korvatunturi" are working very very hard to release 4.1.1 for christmas.

Am I right or am I right?

Other than that, I think we get it:

If I were to realease it now, all you'd be able to do it look at the pretty error requester from elf.library telling you there was an unresolved symbol in libpyth25.so (or something like that I haven't actually checked how it will fail, but I know it will....)

It'll come out very soon after OS4.1 update 1....

@Varthall

It's a very capable video editor, although you'll never get realtime play back in the editor on any hardware we have available at the moment. Even a relatively simply video needs alot of CPU to put together, especially if you have any animated titleing etc. It works though.

Looking very nice! If Blender is easy enough to use, I might even get back into 3D (for fun only, and perhaps nifty logos).

@broadblues

It seems version 2.48, why not update it to 2.50 or atleast 2.49 before official release ?

Nice work !

@samo79

Yeah, okay, when you waited another six month you'll thank me for the fractional update ...

Actually the version number is misleading, the source code is nearer 2.49 that 2.48. I have a snapshot of 2.49 source, but to be honsest this 2.48 works, so that's what I'm going to release.

As to official 2.50 it's barely even an alpha release yet, I'm not going to port an alpha product, how am I supposed to know if the bugs are mine or theirs? 2.50 is still GHOST based IIUC so it won't be an enormous job to port once its at a stable release (assuming they don't add any weird techonolgies we don't have).

Blender is in alpha testing stage on MorphOS. If you're ready to reboot each 10 minutes and 3000 lines of HITS in the console doens't hurt you, you can download the archive
