| UPDATE AT BOTTOM--
http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com/wookiechat/beta/
People seemed to be having major issues with the charsets thing.... so I've removed the UTF#? options from the local charset, which couldnt be used anyway. Please make sure your local charset is US-ASCII or ISO-8859-15 and your server charsets are UTF8, unless you really know what you're doing!
If you want to use the OS4.1 notification system with WookieChat's Events/ARexx support, then grab these files and make sure you follow the readme.. Mick got it working at least. :) http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com/wookiechat/beta/OS4_1_Upd1_Goodies/
BETA 12 - When copying to the clipboard, a newline is only added when you copy more than one line. - changed the Status tabs, so they retain the name of the server instead of changing to "Status" when you click on them - Wookie doesnt add the UTF8 or UTF#? charsets to the local charsets cycle gadget anymore, because those couldnt be used as a local charset on an Amiga and were causing connection problems when people tried to choose them. You will need to reselect your local charset again though, because the list has changed.. Use US-ASCII, ISO-8859-15, or similar. For server charsets, try using UTF8. - WookieChat now doesnt jump to the bottom of the tab when you switch tabs.. so you can scroll mid way through tab #1, switch to tab #2.. then switch back to tab #1 and still be at the same position.
BETA 13 - When a server cant find your IDENTD server and requests you to type /QUOTE PASS 254718 or similar, then Wookie will reply with that code automatically to succesfully connect to the server. - Added an Edit menu for cut/copy/paste from the Chat string gadget - UTF-8 is the default now for Server charsets when you add a server - If a charset is badly misconfigured now, it will send the original text to the server instead of the "converted" text (which just comes out blank, or NULL). This should fix connection problems, when WookieChat wasnt able to send login information to the server. - Fixed a crash when you try to add a server when you have a blank servers.txt file, as was the case when I messed up the last beta archives and included a blank one. Thanks Cyborg for reporting that. - Fixed a crash when trying to connect to a server manually with the /server command, when your servers.txt is blank.

Ever since I implemented configurable charsets in WookieChat, people have been having major issues with it.. a lot of people just couldnt get Wookie to connect at all anymore to some servers. Well, I eventually realised that when the outgoing text wasnt being converted properly from one charset to another, my checks for errors in the conversion process was faulty.. so when Wookie was trying to send USER and NICK information to the server to connect, it was either sending garbage, or nothing at all and it stalled. Well, I thought about removing the charsets support, or changing the local charset info to be retrieved from locale prefs, and also thought about making the server charsets to use UTF8 only, but at least one of my users configures these things in a strange but very useful way for himself.. so instead of removing all this wonderful but confusing to configure stuff, I've now made it not matter if you dont configure it right. I hope.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and hopefully people will stop asking how to copy and paste from the chat string gadget now. :) This feature was added by request because his AcerOne netbook doesnt have a right windows key.
Enjoy beta 13.

| Now my smileys are with black background. I use white background so it looks weird. I havent changed anything in prefs. I use AISS theme as it has more images then the standard 8.
AISS uses TB:Images and when i look at them they are with black background.
EDIT: nicklist/voice image is locked on exit. Please free it :) Last edited by Kicko on 27-Jan-2010 at 06:07 PM.
