By that "install font" script in the root of owb directory. It will download fonts, and unpack them to fresh created fonts:ttf_ directory (all those arial, corier, etc). Then on next run fontconfig will index them and use. Our font config file have those strings:
Quote:
fonts:_TrueType fonts:_ttf
|
So on first run (if user not install webcore-fonts), only our default os4 fonts will be indexed, and if user will download core fonts, then all will be reindexed and core fonts will be used.
Through, i really hope that at some point we will have enough motivation and replace fontconfig with something like joerg do in ra-owb. Its will starts faster, use all the good fonts, and no indexation of first run.
As i understand the only real pluse of ra-owb for now : owb font-rendering code and mouse-pointers (they are used already). While mouse pointers was easy , dunno how easy will integrate font stuff .. Maybe if we all will annoy fab to worring about, he can do it someday :)_________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites |
