About MPlayer P96 code with overlay you may grab the source directly from the Varthall's Google page i think, AFAIK this work was already done, some years ago (at the beginning of the development by Andrea) he was started from the same Fab's source (CGX deps and so on) then he rewrite all such parts related to CGX Picasso96 and overlay, so it would be possible without any problem i hope.

Of course i wait for your version too, maybe at some point we can use another name as aniway MPlayer MUI and MPlayer Reaction have not exactly the same feeling as program, but it's too early to talk about this ...
