Hi,

I just wanted to know if someone managed to have a wacom tablet working with SketchBlock?

@Seblam

Without an appropriate driver most USB Wacom tablets will work in HID compliant mode. Thus you are currently using your tablet as a mouse.

Fortunately I bought myself a used Wacom tablet recently and I've started working on a driver. This driver already allows me to use my tablet (including pressure) in Sketchblock but still need some work to be released. Anyway I'll probably release it in the next couple of weeks, most likely at the beginning of May.

I'll be interested though if people having USB Wacom tablet list their model (the more detail the better) here.

Hi Alexandre

I have a Wacom Graphire4 Classic XL A5 tablet, that I have never tried on my A1XEG3-800.
I am running Os4.1 uod4, and could test if required.
In fact I would love to test this!!

@mr2 & Swoop

Could you please send me the USB device ID associated with your device?

Currently Bamboo, Graphire, Volito, PenPartner and PenStation should already be supported. Next to come should be Intuos, Cintiq and PL.

I've got a wacom bamboo MTE-450A, and it works with the AmigaOS4.1 USB driver (HID compliant).
Is your driver enables function keys?

Petrol.

@petrol

I have an MTE-450 too, my driver's primary goal is to add support for the pression level.
Next on my todo list is to allow configuration of function keys and buttons on the tablet and the stylus.

Product ID 0x18 should already be supported.

@abalaban

I use a Wacom Intuos4 that can work USB or wireless thanks to bluetooth. I still have to test it in HID mode on my A1XE.

Gregthecanuck was interested in this thread...or maybe he is on your list already?

I will write a few more words about your driver this weekend

@abalaban

I just found an old Wacom PenPartner USB tablet I had forgotten about. It's model CT-0405-U and it looks like it's colored Bondi Blue to match the original iMac.

Think your driver will work with it? I'd be happy to test it.

(Sorry for the dupes below.)

@mbrantley

PenPartner *should* be supported, so of course you can test my driver, I'll send it to you this evening by email (if you don't want me to use the email in your profil, just send me a PM with the address, don't worry that's not too big).
Contrary to what I was expecting my driver isn't ready yet for distribution. I've been caught by real-life stuffs what gave me almost a full month off the development. Currently the part I'm working on is the button configurability (both on stylus and on the tablet) when it will be finished then the driver will be ready for a public release. Unfotunately I can't tell for sure when I'll be able to work on it again.

Cool. I'll watch for the driver later and then let you know how it works. And we all understand how life gets in the way sometimes!
