I did write a small DoubleBuffered testdemo with Hollywood:

http://www.amigaos.info/test.lha

Instead of getting more answers this demo gives me more questions, specially on my Sam440ep/667Mhz:

- When my onboard Radeon M9 was okay and not broken there was no hardware acceleration detected and the demo gives me ~14-20FPS

- Now, the PCI Radeon9250 did hardware acceleration, here i reach stable 60 FPS (VSync on) and max 105 FPS (VSync off) on 32Bit an Compositing turned off, if Compositing is turned on, the Framerate is very unstable and jumps between +/- 15 fps on both VSync on and off . On 16Bit screen no hardware acceleration and just 10-14 FPS.

I will not exclude that the hardware-brush-detection is not automatically equal to hardware acceleration of os4.1 native programs.

@fingus

Nice bench... will try it later (with SAM + M9).

Would it be easy to get more system info to display?
(compositing on / off, screen color depth, GPU info, CPU info)

Hmmm... hardware Acceleration enabled == compositing on?

Is this bench going to become multiplatform?
(killer app for sites like Anandtech that benchmark computers + tablets + phones)

Maybe with Update5 Hollywood can use Hardware Acceleration.

Yes, but it was not planned to make more than this small test.
I just want to see what´s possible to choose a good method to bring a new game to AmigaOS.

No. That are two several shoes

No, because Hollywood not seem to support Hardware-Accelerated Brushes on PC. I test it on several PC Desktop/Laptop.

@all others:

Impressive Framerate, specially on X1000!

On a 1680x1050x32 screen (ATI Radeon 9250 gfx card on my Sam440ep Flex 800)

Compositing on:

FPS: 104/106
Vsync: off

Seems quite fast

Sam460, Radeon HD 5450.

300fps, vSync off

@sicky: just press 1 on your Keyboard.

vSync: it is synchronized with your Monitor refresh rate, so if you have 60Hz, the FPS with activated vSync will be 60 (if you are fast enough to get over 60 with vSync off).

If vSync is activated, the visuals are much smoother, also the cpu usage should be lower, with vSync off the Amiga try ti refresh as fast as possible.

vSync off: good for benches
vSync on: best for playing a game, smother (i think you will see this in your tests)

So 32Bit depth speeds up Hollywood stuff... interesting.

@Fairdinkem

It a Radeon HD4850. Maybe the fastest single slot card that currently works with a Sam460ex.May have to mothball it until OS4.2 if I want to use Warp3D.

Also getting 470 with a Sam460ex with a Radeon HD6570.
Interesting.
