After 5 years, it would be nice to see if AOS4 has managed to come closer to MorphOS in speed, on identical HW.

Anyone with modern results of both on Peg2 or SAM460?

@KimmoK

AmigaOS uses the old Warp3D still so I don't see why there would be any changes in this.

@bennymee

But as there is no new warp3d developments for R9250 (or 3D for SouthernIslands on MorphOS), the 3D might not be sane to compare.

(but anyway, someone with the same HW that was previously reported on this thread, could report if there are positive/negative changes as there has been all kinds of updates to AOS and MorphOS)

memo for me about things to try...
-lha archive AminetCD#10
-lha unarchive AminetCD#10
-see if these play & monitor CPU usage: http://jell.yfish.us/ (find bitrate that generates 95% CPU load etc. without playback issues)

@KimmoK

Apart from being ported to OS4, Warp 3D itself has really been touched since the Voodoo days. It lacks support for hardware T&L so any software that supports those features will lag behind on OS4.
