Adam of ACK controls has posted a thread at Amiga.org...

asking for a show of hands for interest in the Powervixxen and a request for any leads for a source for A1200 CPU connectors.

The price is pretty good, at $299 + s&h. I'd order one, but I have an XE already and if there's likely to be a shortage I'd rather someone else gets the board. Mind you, if/when he solves his supply problems I'll definitely order one.

I've done some googling, and the specs for the connector are the following:

Edge connector, .050" (1.27mm) pitch, 150 positions, two sided.

If you know of anyone who makes these connectors, get a hold of Adam. I've looked at the only sites I know of (digikey, mouser) and came up empty.

I have an XE here, but wouldnt mind having one of them if I had an A1200 though. My collection consists of 2xA2000, CD32, A500 and an AmigaOneXE/G4.

I would probably get one a bit later on if they do indeed work stand alone.

It may be a hack, but could he get a connector that was larger and then just saw off the length a bit. I did this for my A2000 when I soldered more connectors to the open spots on the board and it worked flawlessly.

Would it be easier to get connectors for a CD32? Would it be easy to make it work with that? Oh, well, wishfull thinking!

I'll buy one if If I can get hold of a 1200 soon.

Last time I've used an Amiga was more than 10 years ago from now and I've been waiting one year for new hardware now so maby, I'll be running OS4 soon!

Edit: It wasn't my Amiga so I'm a new Amigan!
