@VooDoo

Solve the problem thanks to Rigs and his great utility nomenukey (os4depot)!

Hi,

setenv kbddev_norwin=1 in uboot should do the trick (or nvsetvar kbddev_norwin=1 from AmigaOS, if available).
-> No need for an external mapping tool. ;)

And yes, this is for USB-Keyboards.

CU,
Mario

Hmm,

strange, should be working (and it does here, not with your type of KB though, just another brand USB one ).
Alternatively you could try the "USB stack way", ie. create the file
Quote:
ENVARC:usb/hid.keyboard/rgui

and put the string
Quote:
0x00070065

in it.

Works here, too. Just tested it. But normally I use the set var - as said.

My system is SAMep, btw.

CU,
Mario

Hi,

I just had my Wii keyboard at hand and there I saw something, that made me re-read/think.
I never read the "FN"-part, I thought you'd be talking about the regular "rwin key missing, but I have a menu key"...
AFAIK the FN key is not seen by the system, as it just activates a special Mode of your keyboard.
Is it blue? So, if you press it your kb will send the commands that are written in blue on your other keys. Here it simulates the numpad e.g.
So I see no way to use this key as RCommand, sorry.
You could use another key though, e.g. F12.
Do you have a key you could spare and can live with it being RAmiga?
If so, tell me the key, and I will see, that I find you the correct hex value to put in hid.keyboard.

CU,
Mario

The keys is blue .. and I read that it was not possible to use, or that the system is not seen as a key ...

Now as a r-Amiga keys are used "Alt Gr" for this using nomenukey utility ... It's not clear to me why we in combination with the key (alt gr) does not work a soft reset?

@VooDoo

Hi,

maybe the "nomenukey"-tool is too "high level" and therefor the system does not take that key as reboot-key. In the end, ie. in the best case, a reset should always work...

As you are using ralt now anyway, one thing you could try is, edit the rgui file I told you and put

0x000700E6

in it.

This does not work for me, as I cannot (don't know why) remap the alt keys on my SAM, but it should work, in theory. Maybe it works for you (the mapping) and maybe even the reset then does. ;)
(I am interessted to hear if the mapping works at all for you, even if the reset does not, some feedback would be nice :).

If everythin is not work, my, probably final, idea would be to use fkey.
Set some key combination there and invoke "reboot fast" with it.

CU,
Mario
