Sounds more that the question was regarding Apple periferals like mouse, keyboard and such. Last edited by tomazkid on 04-Apr-2012 at 09:24 PM.

Apple keyboard and Mighty Mouse do work. There is Apple keymap on OS4 depot as for AmigaOS 4

| The keyboards and mice do work, but must be the wired USB versions - wireless ones use Bluetooth and so there isn't currently a way to connect them to OS4. I think MorphOS can use them if they're set up correctly, i.e., paired with the Mac before the OS loads, but IIRC can't pair them on its own. This might mean booting from OS X first to get them paired so that the firmware can present them to MorphOS transparently. _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X |

Yes, I have a MacMIni with MorphOS and I want buy a keyboard and perhaps a mouse, because the Magic Mouse is impossible for the Bluetooh, but I saw the keyboard with two extra USB connectors and I found it very insteresting, because the MacMini only has two USB connectors. |

The Bluetooh mouse "Magic Mouse" and the wirelles keyboards don't work with MorphOS because it will needs the libraries for Bluetooh and at moment MorphOS hasn't it. |

I use apples wired aluminium keybaord with the two usb ports (very low power available on them though, better to plug a powered hub into the mini) on my mac mini, X1000 & Sam Flex. As for a mouse... Use any usb or non bluetooth cordless mouse except the m$ curve 2 (the one with the touchpad instead of a wheel, it does naughty things to make it work like mixing in keyboard commands so that you can't do simple things like shift-click etc.) and any of apples own mice if you use click-m-click in dopus as the magic mouse cannot register the right mouse button while you are holding down the left one. _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

My first impression too but after reading the context I think you missed the point. |

I have a USB Apple Pro Keyboard that works with my A1 and X1000. Though on the X1000 the Amiga/Alt keys have to be reversed because the offical A1 keyboard was modified to swap those keys around to match a real Amiga keyboard.
A friend has an Apple LCD monitor the refuses to work at all. IIRC it won't even power up. Does anyone know why? Been wanting to ask about that. |

Perhaps for the DVI connector that Apple has different pins, because I bough a connector and I saw that the Apple DVI connector hasn't all pins as a normal DVI. |

- the wired aluminum Apple-keyboards to work (these have an USB2 hub intregrated), got 3 of them ;)
- the wired white/clear plastic only have USB1.1 but do also work (just as all Apple USB keyboard before)
- the wireless aluminum keyboard also works, but has to be paired under OSX 1st
- same goes for all BT-mice (Apple or not) but the OF only handles them as with 3 buttons, scrollwheel, touch and extra buttons are ignored (the magic mouse acts like a 2 button mouse)
DVI carries plenty signals, a DVI-2-VGA-adaptor would offcourse ignore the pins for both digital video-channels and audio and would only use a handfull of pins assigned to analoge video. _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada |

Be carefull with non US keyboards, I have seen people using the metal Mac USB keyboards with self painted characters. AFAIK it had something to do with some difference between Mac and PC keyboards when it comes to language dependent keyboard layouts.
But you only asked if they work not if they are compatible to standards. Last edited by Arko on 05-Apr-2012 at 07:14 PM.

I have to buy a spanish keyboard because I know our special charapters as ñ-Ñ and the keys place. The problem that I have seen is the special Apple characters the "cmd" to both sides of the space, because here I think put the "A" stickers, and enjoy the Mac hardware. |

I don't know. He says it works with a PC. He is trying to use the DVI port and on his A1 but the light flickers on the monitor and does not display anything. It is a Cinema display. 20" and 23" were tested with same result.
You'd think even an Apple monitor would display input errors and put a sad face on screen! Last edited by Hypex on 06-May-2012 at 06:09 AM.
