Amiga users just replace the windows keys with the "A" adhesives from ACube/amigakit....



HD video and photos to follow, price soon after that, those who have registered interest will be first in line.

This last black prototype is now my personal machine (ditched the Antec 300 case, 8GB, ATI 5830 1GB card which has served me well until last night)

From the feedback received it looks like the black will be the most requested, later this week I should be testing Mike's fpgaarcade Replay board with it.

I'll keep you posted.

Wow... how a Antec 300 case (tower) could become a new Amiga 500, 500+, 600, 1200 case ? It looks great and as soon as I saw the picture with these 2 shining leds... made my heart beating faster... long time haven't felt such feeling... really! Thanks...

Tried all LED combinations and they all more or less work. Blue and orange, blue and red, green and red. My favourite; green and amber, but red and amber like on my old A500 is also great.

Colour customisation for the LEDs? I can look into it, blue, amber, green and red combinations are a possibility.

I'll have to ask people to let me know via email when I assemble the cases.

By the way the cables will be braided and heatshrunk too at both ends, which adds a bit more time and cost but looks great!

Looking really nice. I seem to remember there being a bit of light bleed on the previous white proto, looks like you've now remedied this.

The price is not set yet, what I am doing is letting people decide, those who have registered their interest.

Why?

Because I've realised that I'll never get anywhere near the development costs (and time) back.

I have completely shattered all the laws of economics and entrepreneurship, next time I'll ask Darrin, he seems to know a thing or two about business

So people'll decide the price based on what they think it's worth and what they are prepared to spend!

Yes I have reduced the size of the LED window and changed the LEDs type, moved them to the left, added some more modifications and improvements... ££$$£$

I have designed the LED window in a way that the LEDs can be changed if faulty or user prefers another colour, same for the power switch hidden under the keyboard.

The different led colour is great too, but I was talking of the case's colour itself :) Does it come in white too? I remember white prototypes...

Would it be worth to try do kickstarter round to see if there is interest for a bigger production run?

And IMHO, ACube/Amigakit ought to have an option to have system built with this case. (perhaps there then should be cost reduced, but mobile GPU added SAM460ex-mini board for this)

Is 100eur a possible price for this case?

btw... I like red and blue LEDs the most ... reminds me about Amiga and Morph ... if only MorphOS one day becomes available for new tiny boards. But surely one could build MacMini HW inside that case as well.

Awesome, awesome work. I may actually prefer a white version for the most complete Amiga look :)

As a minor detail why not move the LEDs and the DVD-drive and SD-card slot to the right of the machine instead? Again, to get a more Amiga-like look? :)

Motherboard is on the right side so card reader, DVD-RW and LEDs need to go on the left, a motheroard on the left or central would have left no space either end.

The 460 is the most problematic of them all since it has only got one SATA onboard. But with a bit of ingenuity you should be able to fit a PCI SATA card and PCI-Express graphics card, of course they have to be low profile and single slot, the case is only 58mm high.
