| It's me again, selling off computers.
I have an A1-XE with Radeon9250, 512MB RAM and 120GB HD, SIL0680, AC-97 soldered on. I think it needs a new PSU. It shuts off randomly, especially when running at 933MHz, as if being overloaded. CPU and everything is running cool. The current PSU has been patched with new/extra capacitors to last a bit longer...
What's the going rate for a machine like this? _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

There is no definite price, as much as you can get. Fairly, would start with at least 100-200$ for board alone + estimated value of all added components. You could try up to $500, but that is a limit where new board could be obtained (SAM 440 slower then XE, but new ...)
You could try looking at older adverts to see how much people asked (and more important got) for XE boards. _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! SinclairQL and WII U lover :D YT http://www.youtube.com/user/rasvoja |

| @Deniil715 Since it could be anything and not the PSU I doubt you would get that much for it.. It would be worth it to just buy a new psu just to test if the system itself works... |

I sold my slightly higher spec machine for £450 last years minus feepay etc. I would get the system working stably first before selling other wise you might have an unhappy customer. I'd probably go through Amibay that Ebay since you can name your price and Amibay don't take a cut. |

Considering the build quality of the Teron (aka amiga one) boards and more specifically the crap cpu card you really need to get it stable for sale. I doubt anyone would want a flaky aone that might die. :(
Having said this if you get it working it would be a great box for a new user. As it supports Altivec and Overlay and full 3d. (better than sam) |

When I sold mine I got an email from the buyer along with a photo. Parcel Force* had clearly kicked the cr@p out of it, the front was smashed in and he told me the CPU card was hanging off.
Apparently he reseated it and it worked fine.
*Force seems to have been the operative word. |

One has to take this into account and package accordingly. _________________ Moxee AmigaOne X1000 AmigaOne XE G4 I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. |

Yep, and she's still going strong now :) Bought a nice new case and added a few other bits and bobs and I'm very happy.
I couldn't afford an X1000, but the XE runs OS 4.1.6 really nicely - far better than any of my classics. |

Well it was my main machine for like 7 years before I got my X1000 and it's a very stable machine. But I know the PSU is kind of washed out, bulged capacitors and stuff. I added additional caps and then it was stable again for a while, then I had to lower it to 800MHz. I've had it at 933MHz most of the time otherwise.
Maybe I should just shell out for a new PSU and make sure it runs nice and quietly.
Regarding shipping, I have to remove the CPU cooler. The CPU card can't take transport with the cooler attached. So the buyer must be able to open the case and fasten two screws (the cooler to a pre-mounted block on the CPU) without breaking the CPU card, if it has to be shipped by mail. _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

| @Deniil715 I am sure you are right but I still think you would get more for it if you tested it with a working psu just to make sure.

Or better yet, save yourself some money, and pull the PSU out of your X1000, and try it with that. If you can confirm it still works, and the PSU is the problem, you'll likely get a better price for it. |

I changed the PSU with the cheapest one that I could find which was on "Jula" and it's been running stable ever since. Don't know the name of the PSU but it's working really well, not so long cables though so it wouldn't fit a bigtower but in a midtower it fits perfectly well. Have been using it for... 1-2 years now I think. |

Considering that a new PSU goes for about $60-$80 from an online store, what have you got to lose?
