I installed it on my AmigaOne the Debian Lenny, the instability seen with the 2.6.18 kernel I upgraded to 2.6.38.3 +.
I noticed that there are no kernel modules raw1394, dv1394 and video1394 that serve to manage the camera using firewire.
It 'will be a release of these modules? Since I need to capture my video with Kino.
Or who is behind the kernel for AmigaOne could release them?
Thank you.

I'm afraid these kernel modules were superseeded by userspace libraries and thus removed from the kernel source (with kernel v2.6.37). You could try to install libiec61883, libraw1394 and libdc1394 from the Debian repository to get your Firewire hardware working again. Otherwise you would have to downgrade to an older kernel version. But let me know, if the userspace libraries fix the problem.

I'm afraid that would be me.

@Geri
Then when I have time I try to install those libraries and see if everything settles down.
Or should release those modules .
To upgrade to the source list Squeezy What should I include?

For Squeeze you can use something like this for sources.list:

Quote:
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze-updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze-updates main contrib non-free
deb http://backports.debian.org/debian-backports squeeze-backports main contrib non-free
deb-src http://backports.debian.org/debian-backports squeeze-backports main contrib non-free

Replace "us" with the country code for your country.

I tried to install all libraries that relate to the firewire and video, but nothing to make the camera is not seen, Kino tells me that I have to load the appropriate kernel module.
Where can I find an earlier version of the kernel, since Linux on the site for the Amiga is only available as a patch 2.6.31 and 2.6.18 is almost unusable when you log in to the USB or capture crashes every now and then.
However if you want to release these modules for the 2.6.38.3 +, you'd be really grateful.

Looks like you would have to upgrade at least to Debian Squeeze. Even if it doesn't come with the recommended versions of libraries for use with the new Linux firewire stack, it should work with it. For more information about this read here:

Kernel 2.6.31 would be available here, but I didn't include the old firewire stack and dv/raw/video1394 modules in this version. I'm currently busy with my daily work, so you have to be patient, if I should recompile the kernel.

Sorry, but kernel 2.6.36 was the last version that supported these drivers. The new firewire stack made them obsolete.

The v2.6.31 kernel comes as a Debian package (linux-image-2.6.31-1-powerpc_2.6.31_powerpc.deb), which can be installed with dpkg. However also this kernel doesn't contain the modules you need, thus I have to compile a new kernel. Sorry.
