Let's be fair. If it's safe to assume that the Pegasos boards are buggy because of unknown issues (and frequency) of the G4 cards, should we now also assume that because Eyetech tests each board twice before shipment to end users that they are also buggy? I don't think either is a fair assumption to make.
Well. You can't compare this that way. Eyetech is making a quality check before delivering, which is quiet normal, and even Genesi does so. At least all delivered AmigaOnes WORK with G4.
Genesi has some unknown issues which appear on some April2 boards and on some (identical) do not appear. Which is strange, wouldn't you agree? Is that a problem with DCE's production line? bplan's design? I don't know...
They sold a board (which was advertised as upgradeable to G4) although they knew that there are some issues with the G4 processors. But Buck always said that this is an Articia problem. It is not. Because the G4 is working very well on the AmigaOne. And is performing as it should
Anyway, it is OK if your Pegasos works as it should, because the problems never appeared on the G3 version, as Buck said.
