| I'm thinking of going to Berlin in a few weeks (14th to 17th September), to celebrate my birthday and visit ECOC07.
Does anyone here live in or near Berlin and have a spare couch I could borrow for a few days? I promise to make it interesting, I can even bring some moose and cook dinner
I COULD of course stay in a hotel, but since it is after all my birthday I am looking for someone to have a beer and copious amounts of white wine with during the weekend, so figured I might as well ask here
There shall be endless philosofical and amiga-related discussions, and if fiber-optics is interesting (I do firmware, software and hardware, and three of my current projects involve fairly special optical components), the registration for the show is free: http://www.cts-online.co.uk/shows/ecoc07/ _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean. |

Does anyone here live in or near Berlin ...

Hmmmmmm - "near" is relative.
I live in Cologne - for an e.g. US citizen that might be "near" to Berlin.
But I bet you'd have better chances to find someone in/near to Berlin if you'd ask this question in the forum at Amiga-News...
EDIT: Stated a thread on Amiga-News for you and linked it here...Last edited by Dandy on 22-Aug-2007 at 08:32 PM. Last edited by Dandy on 22-Aug-2007 at 08:30 PM.

Hehe, Köln isn't really that close
Since I don't frequent Amiga-News it would be a bit silly to go there, since I was wondering more if anyone I've met here would take me on a tour of the night life than actually desperately avoiding the cost of a hotel
But it seems there are no well-known Amiga users in Berlin...
Never been to Köln, but I passed by Rösrath and Lohmar outside Köln on my way from Sandefjord to visit the Frieden brothers on my bicycle holiday last year... Had a good day, got from Dortmund to Remagen in a day... Then I had a ####ty night with hardly any sleep because the campsite was so noisy, so had to give up after 100km and take a train the last 100km in to Trier
This year we started in Bernkastel and ended up in Chiavenna, Italy 9 days later... Next year I guess I have to make it from north to south in Italy, before starting on Africa... _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C).
