Fab did it one more time and updated his Browser Odyssey. Grab your V1.19 from his website:http://fabportnawak.free.fr/owb/

@Zylesea

To be noted that this release also includes a totally new javascript interpreter, called LLInt (lowlevelinterpreter), that includes "fast paths" for different architectures (but not PPC yet obviously... :)). When it's implemented, it can be up to 2.5 times faster than the fallback C interpreter. The work to implement the missing PPC support should be much easier than implementing the whole JIT (which can be used above LLInt when it makes sense to do so).

However, WebKit guys don't bother much about us PPC users, and LLInt doesn't even work at all on 32bits bigendian architecture with the original sources. Fortunately, Leopard-Webkit maitainer managed to fix this in his WebKit fork.

The old classic C interpreter used in JavascriptCore was slowly abandoned in the last months, and that's why some errors/bugs/crashes could appear sometimes, because it wasn't really maintained carefully anymore. It was finally deleted and LLInt is now used instead.

@Develin

Actually, in fallback (C) mode, this new LLInt interpreter is slightly slower than the old one (about 10%), but that's the only one maintained now, and it has potential to be 2.5 times faster when PPC support is done, so i prefer to stick on that.

Faster browsing might be related to the new cookie system though, it should avoid a bit more disk writes when cookie database is full.

@Fab

Thanks Fab for all your efforts with OWB!

I use MUI-OWB on OS4 whenever IBrowse isn't up to the task and all the prefs and options you've added make it a lot more familiar and easier to use.
