Hello All

Okay, Poll time, lets try and put this sucker to bed once and for all.

Do you want a Pro Amiga Site, or one where discussion of MorphOS is allowed (despite what happens as a result)
See:-
MorphOS vs AmigaOS

How do you want this site to be?

Do you want this Site to become MORE Predominantly Amiga/OS4 Centric?
If so please Vote Amiga.
(Note this does not mean that MorphOS cannot be mentioned, but it will mean that you want this to become more Pro Amiga centric than it has been of late.

Alternatively you think that perhaps it would be good to see more discussion/Promotion/Evangelism of MorphOS on this site?
If so please Vote MorphOS.
(Remember there is a difference between good intentions and what actually happens - The road to hell is paved with good intentions)

Finally, If you feel that this is just a storm in the tea cup, and that things should remain as they are...
Then Please vote LEAVE IT as is!!!

@Mikey_C

You forgot the option to vote for *all* amigaish systems, be it 68k, OS4, AROS or MOS.

That poll is quit black&white and holds some intention IMO.

@Zylesea

It's designed so that we don't keep fudging the issue with countless options

@Mikey_C

Just checking to see if you really want this to be a "Members" [Poll]
Currently, you can be a "visitor" (non logged) to this site and vote and view
results in this poll.
Doesn't the poll have to be in the "other" section to be "members only"?

Best Wishes,
#6

@Mikey_C

hmmm ... normally I would vote "MorphOS", but what
if MorphOS wins ? Would that mean that all OS4 Topics are banned ?
I think this a nonsense-poll ... so I'll ignore it ...

@Mikey_C

Delete your cookies and you can vote again ... and again ... and again ...
(simple trick, really, one could even write a script that does it automatically,
that's how most of these undisclosed polls are hacked)

btw: this does NOT mean that i would do so or encourage anyone to do, in fact,
i'd like to have a more OS4 centric forums site and voted for it too (once)

That's the reason i came here in the first place and i still like it here

@Mikey_C

Well, thats a nice quote but totally senseless to me.
Changing a website does not change people.
Better setup a voting site with all members listed and let
every member have a voice per week to vote for the one
who deserves a kick in the butt the most ...
perhaps you can have a red, a blue and a rainbow boot added
to the nick ...

This doesnt make more sense, but it's more fun

@Mikey_C

Buddy I would like ot see discussion of PPC hardware being allowed, which in my opinion is what one of the thread was actually about but I would like the flame war type threads to be barred.

so which option should I select

@Mikey_C
AmigaOS users and especially OS4 users need a place to discuss things in peace and I think AW.net fills that niche quite nicely.

I don't want to see AROS or MorphOS news and discussions. These API clone systems have their own dedicated web sites and they have Amiga.org and ANN and others. Plenty of cyberspace real estate to discuss/promote/evangelize already so no need to take even more space here at AW.net.

[soap box]
Can't we all just get along? No. That is clearly never going to happen. There are just too many people that hold grudges, put smilies on their forum posts and point & laugh from outside forums. The ridicule has never stopped. We can pretend all we want that we are open minded, it is just a hobby, etc. but human nature is always exposed sooner or later and the few always and without fail ruin it for the many.
[/soap box]
