Last weekend I created Tutorial and used the "Submit a feature". The preview was to my liking (except with IBrowse2.3 I was unable to use any of the cute stuff just under "Message:" during the composition). Then I hit submit and am waiting.

What is the vetting procedure?

Also, the "Help" only talks about URL, IMG, EMAIL, QUOTE, Bold, Italics and underlining. How about some words describing how to do SIZE FONT COLOR using only the keyboard? I did x-large Arial #FFFF00, put text in to the left of Add, clicked Add and nothing happens.

And it's IMHO a shame that the first row Amiga site don't work (and looks too) properly on Amiga browsers.
It is possible and quite easy to make such things like eg. url, image inserting, quoting or font style applying work. Shame and shame again.
Just try this out: PPA.
Things like these above work there fine.
I can provide an e-mail of PPA webmasters for AW.net staff so that they can ask them how to make it possible.

@ggw

Can you tell me what the feature was about, we usually get notified of any "articles" awaiting vetting, I'll check it out and let you know.

@rtea

Not sure what isnt working could you explain in more depth please?

Regards

Mark

@Mark

Just submitted it again.

Title "mkisofs and MakeCD"

So the procedure is: *Submit a feature*, do the composition, *Submit*, the item goes to .... you? ...., then what?

Ok, I'm at home right now and I can answer you in details.
So, the sad truth is that none of the nice gadgets above text input can work in IBrowse. I click eg. URL button, paste an url into the window which popup, then enter a name for link, and at last I click OK - as said ggw - "nothing happens". IBrowse does not insert anything. In Firefox it works perfectly.
The same concerns all the remaining gadgets.
Not sure about font styles, but as I've mentioned before giving a link to a proof, it is completely possible to make it works with IBrowse.

Ok it should then:

Appear on the list of titles to be checked and approved, and then made live/rejected etc.

I'll let staff know its not working so they can regularily check, I'm off to France for a couple of days (plus my access is a bit stuffed at the moment), so I'll have to check the issue, however staff should be able to check the features in the meantime.

I've just taken a quick look at the tutorial, one quick point (I discovered recently) is that you dont need to click add track etc, you can just drag the iso into the tracks list.

@r-tea

Not sure where on the linked page I can determine the "proof" nor can I (unfotunately) read polish?? to register and navigate the site.

What I need is a copy of the page with the javascript in that provides the functionality, this way I can without to much hastle to find out the functionality actually supported by IBrowse that makes it work.

Regards

Mark

Ha! That only brings up more questions.

Since I have already submitted the tutorial (twice), what is the official way to get it modified with corrections (assuming it gets accepted)?

LOL, I have no idea, the best bet is to PM one of the moderators really, or re-submit and ask for the old one to be deleted.

I'm going to be away for a few days so I'll get someone else to deal with it.

As I understand, all font sizing and colouration tags have been disabled owing to their abuse when they were enabled.

I have enabled one of the two submitted and removed the other. If this is the wrong one, please re-submit the right one, and I'll swap them over. Sorry for the delay, there seems to be a problem with the notification of submitted articles/tutorials, such that none of us were aware of any outstanding items waiting to be validated.

Sorry, I forgot that the comment's form is not available for unregistered users.

I grabbed all the code with form and copied it here.
This is a bit dirty but all the things we've talked about work fine so you can try it out.
Previously I forgot to mention that inserting smilies (those from the row under textinput as well as those from "more" window) don't work too. On PPA all smilies work under IBrowse. You can check it out too.
I hope it to be helpfull for you ald AW.net users (especially those who often use IB) will see usefull post-comment form very soon

Oh, one thing else that would be a help for you: the X button completes all tags that were left unclosed.

Hi!
Any chance for a bit of progress on this?
