[Poll] Moderator Of The Year (Winner gets a uA1)

OK, I know, according to some the moderation staff are evil censorship monkeys but
frankly ( and I can't and don't moderate here ) I think the moderation in the last
12 months has been top notch. Thanks in no short supply to the newcomers to the team!

Instead of giving aw.net sponsorship money for their site I thought Id reward a moderator
who the aw.net members think is good with a uA1 which they have to review thoroughly
in return for the site when it arrives. Courtesy of happybiscuit.com.

When you vote for the "best moderator 2004" think in terms of how their moderation
( not just editing, locking, transferring - but presence in threads, cautions, even
positive impact and influence in private messages to you ) has benefitted YOUR user
experience at aw.net. Even controversy is good, as it generates lively discussion
and often extra hits

Ive not consulted aw.net over this, bugger that, they'd never let me do it.

Ive stuck to those that have moderator group ( and not those that have above
moderator level - sorry, theres just not enough poll options unless Mark wants to fix
it ).

So, vote for YOUR favourite moderator of the year. They are all a good bunch
if you ask me.

* This isn't a popularity contest, so don't vote for just whom you consider to be a buddy!
* Ill count the votes as of midnight 31st December 2004 as being final, midnight site time that is.

@DaveP

Hmm The Bodies (and Bodie_CI5 in particular, IMHO) have been the most active moderators IMO, though GregS is one heck of a poster. But when voting for the best moderator on aw.net i have to give preformance in moderation the first seat, so my vote goes to Bodie_CI5.

@DaveP

I went with Greg, based on "presence in threads, cautions, even positive impact". Haven't seen him bring on the sledgehammer that much, but the guy has heart and brains that makes me glad he's even a member of the community. The fact that a person like him's a moderator here can't really be a bad thing, if you ask me.

@all

Careful, if you don't vote for the *right* person, the thread might get "accidentally" deleted...

I never payed so much to moderation to be honest. So I have no idea on who to vote. But I do have a incident in mind in which the moderation was top rank. That required some balls to do that.

Coder

Oh that moderator is not on the list anymore. Bummer.

@DaveP

The vote machine must be broken because it would not let me vote for the seven
people I wanted to.

@DaveP

This is an impossible choice, we have such a good team, whenever I have had and problems to report, whoever I have asked has been very helpful in getting things sorted.

In my time as a member here I have cause to contact the moderators only twice (that I can remember at the moment) , and on each occasion, my requests have been dealt with in a quick and professional manner.

So sorry guys, I feel it would be unfair to single anyone out.

@AmigaOneProductions

Just choose someone at random, I know they are all damn good moderators, its an excuse to give
a staff member an A1.

Dave.

Wow! That's very good of you!

I would have to go with GregS. He always posts with substance and always has something interesting to say. Also he keeps things positive which can be difficult when you are debating in depth!

Merry XMas to everyone!

@DaveP

I made my choice based on who's most in need of an A1 right at the moment.

@Valiant

Well, I had made up my mind on whom to give my vote, but no sooner had I thought it than six PMs arrived from the others, offering me money to change my mind.

These guys have installed thought-detecting viruses on my A4000. So I won't vote for any of them. Hmm, there's another PM . . .

But seriously, how can you single out one of these guys for such a valuable prize?

Chosing the one you think has most need of an A1 is a good criteria. I wonder
if I could push it and suggest that whoever gets it has to add an aw.net review
for every bit of os4 software that gets released, essentially becomes aw.net's
"Reviewer".

os4depot, fill it up

Well, if it had been simply about money then of course the highest bidder would have got my vote. ;^)

Hi goody, cecilia, swoodall, tomazkid, tonyw,

Hi AmigaOneProductions,

I concur;

However, a "None, they're all tooo evil", I think I could have jumped on! (Because, I have read those other websites, and their barrage of mind influencing FUD I think is working on me )

I will vote though, and I will keep it secret (for now), BUT, the year ISN'T over, how I change vote? If need be????

AmigaWorld.Net! Amiga's lightning rod!!!!!!

- edit -
My biased vote is different than my actual vote (and that one is a coin toss of two mods!). I will make an unbiased vote, sorry to the party I would have voted for.
