Have you ever wondered what is the speed difference between emulated and "real" Amiga? And what about the performance of AmiKit compared to the other alternatives?

Check the benchmarks.

Please let me know if you have any ideas what other methods can be used to measure the performance of the emulated environments...

@AmiKit

Play a mod while performing the tests. Then get back to me.

p.s. Use Hippoplayer.

@AmiKit

Run a time demo in quake.

Render a scene with a 3D package.

Do some image or audio processing.

Run diskspeed.

WinUAE has the advantage of QuarkTex (wrapper for Windows's OpenGL ICD).

With WinUAE and +1GB of memory, factor in Windows's disk cache.

Interesting results Jan - I'm surprised that AIAB is still reasonably snappy!

Life in the old dog yet etc. I believe a new Scalos update isn't too far off either ;)

Keep up the great work; AmiKit is such a terrific resource for Amiga!

Cheers,
James

@AmiKit

Would be great to see how it compares to Amithlon.
