Hello, if you have noticed Icaros Desktop now allows playing old Amiga games and demos straight in a E-UAE window, using the old port from Richard Drummond (which lacks of more modern features introduced by Oliver in J-UAE, but it has sound). To do so (please read the PDF manual from the icaros website for further informations) I've previously set up three .urc files in Extras:AmiBridge/Emulator called A500.urc, A500plus.urc and A1200.urc which try to replicate the exact configuration of the original models.

I tried to keep the maximum compatibility, some times at expenses of emulation speed (you can notice it on older PCs) but, because at the time I was not exactly fond of Amiga games (I always preferred the "geek-workbench" side of it), I am not sure they are the best for compatibility-reliability needs.

So what I am basically asking here, please, is to look at those .urc files and suggest me what you'd change to gain

- more compatibility with games
- more speed

on any given Amiga model (A500, A500+ or A1200). If someone would provide to me also a CD32 .urc file, it would be well accepter, though I don't know if E-UAE 0.8.28 from Richard actually supports it. Provided .urc files are supposed to use Amiga Forever's encrypted ROMs. Thank you for your help, enthusiasm and collaboration

regards

p.bes

@paolone

I don't have AROS paolone,but I imagine the urc files are similar to the files of E-UAE on Amiga OS4.0 or Amiga OS 4.1.

Sorry that I don't have much idea about AROS but I can suggest you to take a look on an Amiga with OS4.1 if you can and learn about the configuration files and how to configure an A500,A500+,A1200...

Off topic my situation is worse because my Amiga One is not working and on a computer repair shop.

Since I can understand not everybody here has Icaros or would like to download 500+ Mb of stuff just to read three files, here they are. I added the txt extension to be more browser-friendly

A1200.urc
A500.urc
A500plus.urc

Thanks to anyone helping me.
