SIMPLE solution: make a port using SDL. That would definitely not be Amiga software.

@Lazi

AFAIK Amiga means specified OS on specified HW, so therefore AmigaForever can capable to run Amiga software, but because of the hw part... -no signal-

The most easier way could be the strict handling of the signs on the original package, as it says Amiga 1200/4000 and compatibles, IIRC.

Yepp, I've joined to that forum a few months ago, although my net access is a bit hectic.
I've heard about an A1Owners-only gathering organized by you. Is it true?
We could invite Akos (Divianszky) as well, to introduce the new board/system, if he can be interested.

That's a good idea. The rumour is true, but don't ask me correct time.
I'm working at least 12 hours per day 7 days per week. The only good thing in that
to working with an Amiga.
So if I run out of these jobs, you will hear from me... and Akos too.
The place is quite large, cheap but not in Bp.

Be fanatic :)
It would not be a goal to make "definitely not Amiga softwares".

@Lazi

It is very encouraging to hear that Invictus are not just willing let someone else do the work but are actually prepared to help with the work themselves.

The PC version was made open souce and a third party (with no help from Invictus) converted it to OS4 and released it there should be no problem because Invictus would not be the one releasing an Amiga version.

However I think the SDL port sounds a lot better as Mac/Linux/Etc users would also benefit without duplication.

They released for free the pc version. It is not means that it is open source!
The source is not released as I know.

Hi!

Akos Divianszky told me details about the contract
between Invictus and the publisher.

The sad fact that every right is in the hand of the publisher.
Invictus currently have only the rights of the pc version.

If anybody could help us to make contact somebody from the Sadeness
or Weird Science teams, then please mail me at lazi@freemail.hu

Their website:
http://www.weirdscience.co.uk/

I know it may not be of any help

Also I found that Richard Brown and Kristian Phillips of Sadeness software worked in year 2000 for Epic marketing. They may still known by Epic Marketing.
They are not alive anymore, right?

Also I found Paul Burkey here. Asking him may be of interest. I'll ask and tell you.

@Lazi

Sorry I forgot to put 'If' before 'the PC version was made open source'. I guess that is why I should read what I post before I hit submit.

Anyone tried writing to Richard at the address below? Sounds quite like a home address to me...

Richard Brown,
SAdENESS Software,

Also, may be worth getting in touch with Pagan Software.

Their game Dafel: Bloodline was due to be published by Sadeness at one point, may have contact information for Richard Brown.

Paul Burkey:
Sadeness owned the rights to my game Foundation on
all platforms. When they disappeared I had Foundation
re-published by epic marketing. All existing contracts
with Sadeness would be void since they broke the
contract in a number of places, most notably by
"disappearing" off the face of the earth ;)

@Skunkfish

I couldn't find Richard Brown in the phone list in the UK. He probably moved (or I didn't search well )

This SDL remake would then be compiled for the coolest OS, also.

Hi folks!

Thanks for your posts. I will check them a bit later, but now here is a mail

onEscapee was published by Sadeness Software, we (Invictus) have business

It is possible that Sadeness teamed up with Weird Science for some
territories.

Hi!

If I have to sum up all efforts to find the person responsible for the
rights of Sadeness, then it would be very short: no result.

All of my mails came back with the message "lost contact for ages".

If anybody know any useful info, please release it.

After a short while I have to send a report to Invictus that tells,
we are failed....

Maybe Akos will make his mind to release the stuff without the permission of a
really unreacheable person.

This game drove me insane. It only bothered to save the location you were at, and no other flags. Thus, when I spent an hour wracking my brains to solve a really difficult tile puzzle, I saved the game and quit in relief. When I came back, I had to solve it all over again!
