Acquaria sound problem

I'm experiencing sound problems with aquaria. More often any music, fx just stops and never comes back.
It was not that bad initially, now it's getting worst and worst, after only 2 minutes in the game the sound is gone.
Besides that, the loading screen graphics are corrupted. This does not happen if compositing is off, but it does not seem a graphics memory issue to me, since I have 256MB and with compositing turned on, still 78% free video memory after having started the game.

- Latest SDL (but was the same before and I hoped the update would solve it)
- Radeon 9250 256MeBi
- 768MeBi Ram
- AmigaOs 4.1u2 almost vanilla (DepthToFront, Mixer, AllKeys, FKey, OS4Reboot)
- AmigaOne XE

Fresh cold booted OS, besides the Commodities, no other program has been started or is running.

any idea someone?

edit: This happens both wit hthe Data of Aquaria as with the original bought game Data copied over. The data is of the windows version, have i done something wrong here?

edit 2: and a minor bug I discovered, it does not take a screen shot when saving games

@afxgroup

mmh.. maybe I did not explain myself to well, sorry.

Wenn I start the game, and _then_ switch too Workbench, it shows 78% free video memory.

Again, I have a Radeon 9250 with 256 MB video memory
768 MB of RAM
Workbench is, (for the purpose of testing/playing the game) set to "default" that is, compositing off and the OS 3.1 theme. screenmode is 1024x768 32 bit.

The game screenmode is 1024x768 too.
So it seem a bit awkward to me that I'm running low on memor, and as I said the WB tilebar bar says 78% free memory.

This games seems to play well on my 2 years old MBP with 1920x1080 resolution!!

@samo79

3-button reset works ? (if so, dumpdebugbuffer can help a bit maybe). Or maybe serial debugging ?

I think minigl have some problems, because that lockups of heavy based OpenGL programms are offten happenes..

@kas1e

As Andrea say it hangs the machine completely so (almost as simple user) I can't do so mutch, just switch off my Sam ...

BTW I have the same problems with certain WarpOS games (WipeOut for example), convesely on my A1 WipeOut 2097 is quite stable and also a lot fast (A1 G3-800), so maybe it may be a problems (not yet fixed) on the OS4 version on Sam !

@afxgroup

please don't forget to look into the sound issue too.. it's really annoying.

edit: I might have found one way to reproduce the sound issue.
1) game resolution 800x600 or higher (the higher the resolution, the more the probability for it to happen)
2) low the volume of the in game music and fumble around with the other volumes
3) save and go back to the game
4) look for a spot where many enemies or a big opponent run around.
5) open the menu.

6) sound disappears..
