Hmmm? How does that work ? Heard the first time about this. And this "configure script trying to test" is really a major pain...

configure can use a cache file to keep settings it already figured out before, called "config.cache". This file is generated when you use the "-C" option for configure.
So, if you run into a problem (like, "can't run test program" or similar), you just add the appropriate option to the config.cache.
For example, a configure script wants to determine the endianness, and can't run a test program for that purpose. If you look at the script, it will probably have something like this:
Quote:
if test "${ac_cv_c_bigendian+set}" = set; then echo $ECHO_N "(cached) $ECHO_C" >&6 else ...
|
You just add this Quote:
ac_cv_c_bigendian=${ac_cv_c_bigendian='yes'}
|
to config.cache and start again. It will then assume it already tested._________________ Thomas, the kernel guy

Hmm... CGTerm doesn't work here, it asks for Newlib v3? Betatesters only?

Ah, thanks... that will make some stuff much easier of course (as it is always a pain to edit configure-scripts and better avoided... editing those cache settings sounds easier...)

Arghh. Yes. I'll upload another archive with clib2 executables added.

| [edit] Yay, thanks to Nicomen I was able to compile it It should re-appear on os4depot soon [/edit]
Well, I'm having a really hard time getting it working with clib2.
Though I managed to make it compile, and run, it not working right
I guess I'll have to keep trying...
@spotUP I sent you a pm with a link to the executables in their current state. Better than nothing but not by much.
