I'd just like to add this:
during the summer, I took the opportunity to work from home. /ihad the works laptop set up on my desk, next to my A1.
I spent my days working in front of the Ashes (woo!) which I watched on AmiTV !!
so OF COURSE you gotta keep going !! _________________ XH558 - the worlds last flying Vulcan. ok, its actually XL426 in the picture but you know what I mean. |

| @Hans, Spirantho,
Linux' BTTV doesnt cut it for me: wierd striping, or green and purple picture when using display Grab.
PS: I watched the Ashes on a 'borrowed' Portable TV aerial of the 'rabbit ears' twin telescopic type. nothing more, but I would like to try it on the House Aerial...
it helps if one knows the channel number (of the 21-69 variety for PAL users!) that is required for your desired station, and entering that as a parameter to AmiTV, rather than surfing...
I use a WinTV BT878 card; either the Go or Express, cant remember, the box isnt to hand! _________________ XH558 - the worlds last flying Vulcan. ok, its actually XL426 in the picture but you know what I mean. |

Strange. I'm using a BT878 based WinTV card as well and I have no problems. Maybe your bttv setup is configured to use the wrong channel spacing/TV standard. Even if your card if PAL only, the BT878 can still be set to decode in NTSC mode. I can remember having to set the TV standard and channel spacing before things worked properly.
