That's the whole concept of a closed off "special Amiga hardware market". It's all that's ever possible with the current setup.

To consider schedules, plans or estimates as promises is equally as silly as considering a weather forecast a promise, even more silly is it to say that the meteorologist is a liar. Why is it so hard for people to simply accept these kind of predictions for what it is and as it is rather than holding someone responsible and calling him a liar if it would turn out to not be true? Absolutely NOONE could possible say ANYTHING about the future for certain and how high expectations you have for these kind of predictions about the future is entirely up to you.

As far as AGP, well, we're still waiting for a MB, and AGP is very familiar, and we're trying stay less complex, which is hopefully cheaper, and less difficult too.

Yes there is.

If a "[" character is right at the end of an e-mail address (with no space char. or carriage return), it gets attached to it, and the /quote] rest of it is not acknowleged and can't be displayed as intended.

Somehow, I don't think googling on "facts about Troika" is going to work.

Sure, but going from two production runs before christmas to still not a sound from them at the end of mars isn't the regular joe trying to predict weather. Something must have gone really bad, so instead of telling people that wait for their product, people that already been waiting for some time, they disappear.

Ah, and this thread is already a classic. What are they saying really?

Somewhere along the line there's a lesson to learnt, and I bet it is that Amigausers are suckers who will buy your product even if you treat them like dirt.

Atheist, because I will buy this freaking board if it comes out at the right price.

Also, I'm not the only one that is not pleased with Troika's stance, and the ones that are not are not blue, either. I also do because Mr. Troika (Gold) treated me like a turd on IRC.

You and Samface might have missed that but this guy was pretty damn active on IRC up until the end of 2005 and always loaded to shoot down whomever that claimed that the board will not be released in 2005.

Ever considered that maybe they learned their lesson the first time and decided to not say anything more until they actually have something to show? I'm quite sure they didn't go through with all this just to make the lives of a few Amiga enthusiasts miserable. Call me naive, but it simply doesn't seem like a plausible scenario to me.

No, I don't think that's the case. The article in TAM was an exclusive one, they've said nothing before or after it. Still there are no faces to connect to Troika, which in my opinion is really really weird.

They way they're handling things really isn't doing them any good. The thruth might suck, but it's better than silence...
