Have you been holding out on us?

Just kidding. That stuff is looking good though. I hope you have plenty of time to work on these projects.

That would be one of (maybe THE greatest) the greatest developments in the past few years... i would try to port our customs software to os4 *lol*

Damn, i should spend more time with OS4 programming but my job, my girlfriend and my friends takes the most time of me

It's the geekgadgets-X11-server (68k-binary) running on OS4. The server works fine, I only have a few problems with it. The clients from geekgadgets are crashing under OS4, but now I have my native ones.
Do you have the current OS4 ixemul.library (V51.5 IIRC)? Older versions of ixemul.library don't work on OS4.

@joerg

uhm, that rumoured ixemul lib, isn't that in the hands of betatesters only?

It was only released to the OS4 beta-testers by the authors of the OS4 PPC port, but since it's LGPL nobody can stop anyone from redistributing it ...

Could we run it on update 4? Or does it require more recent versions of libraries that only Beta-testers have access too. There's no point in distributing it unless we can actually use it.

Donations are always welcome, but I did not expect this. Thanks anyway.

Yes - that's the problem. But Amaya is also a web-editor, displaying local sites and editing them is working good.

Mostly it is working smoothly, but sometimes the server is "hanging" and eats a lot of cpu-time. I'm afraid, that this is a problem of Roadshow, because I had the same problem with my apache-port.

Thanks, but I think that I don't change the x-server thing. I have not enough time for this. And first I have to finish my native version of the server.

Ahh - you're working on a windows/linux-version?
Yes, wxWidgets is using GTK+. There is only one problem: The resulting binaries are very big. The simple card-game has a size of about 8MB. The linker-lib's size (only wxWigets, including debug-informations) is 78 MB! And you need everything: All libs and
includes of X11, GTK, GDK and wxWidgets (and maybe some more). I first have to make a useable package. And I have to test first, if there are any dependencies to my system/installation.

@afxgroup

As I've said above, I have not enough time to make a x11-emulation. But if someone wants to do it, he can have my sources.

@joerg

I'm using v 49.17 from http://Amiga.SourceForge.net. The server works fine with it, but it's sometimes a bit slow. The ixemul-clients from geekgadgets are crashing.

As I'm not a beta-tester, I have no access to any unpublished stuff. It should work on any system with update 4.

Time for someone to upload it to OS4depot then.

I don't think that it's that simple. You would have to write a x11-emulator, as CygnusEd said.
