| Hello!
First I will have to thank bbrv for the support(ODW and so on) of helping me with my mupper project..
I don't know how all people came in contact with bbrv and having problems with them. If I only talk from me there I had no problems dealing with them. But it is easy to judge a person before you know him/her. BBRV have done alot for the community and they have proven to deliver hardware on a more regular basis than any other amiga/clone related company.
I am waiting for the efika to arrive so I could make the mupper-lite come true :)

| I find this thread and the way it developed to be very funny. BBRV makes some analogy of suicide bombers and suddenly hordes of people drift in to make 5 pages of comments about how bad suicide bombings are or whatever, and seemingly stand in line to condemn them for advocating such evil things.
Sigh.

Maybe you live in some backwater where these sort of things don't happen, but most of us here live in the USA and Europe, where suicide bombers have killed hundreds of innocent people quite recently (and they keep on trying to kill more). Bbrv's comment was in bad taste plain and simple, and if you think it's funny you need to get out of your mom's basement.

| Why announced Efika a 99$ the unit, and in their page, 10 units costs 2990$, more or less 299$ each unit?. Why that change of price?

This is totally off-topic and not appropriate for a thread about Amiga computers, and I wouldn't normally reply, but I am gob-smacked by the parochialism and one-sidedness of that comment - it can not be allowed to stand without some form of balance. The implication is that suicide bombing is somehow worse than high altitude bombing killing thousands with no risk to the perpetrator, or sanctions which kill hundreds of thousands of innocent children through starvation and disease.
More Recent Examples
Quote:
The people of Iraq endured 43 nights of continuous bombing by U.S.-led forces in 1991. U.S. Air Force Lt. General Charles A. Horner, who had overall command of the air campaign, called such psychological terror a "side benefit" of U.S. bombing. |
Quote:
By 1997 the UN reported that over 1.2 million Iraqis had died since the Gulf war as a result of medical shortages, including 750,000 children below the age of five. Two years later UNICEF found that 4,000 to 6,000 Iraqi children under five were dying each month due to sanctions – a World Trade Center catastrophe every 30 days. |

| ThEcRoW: The 99 USD are first of all aimed to the countries which are poorer (can't find a better word), like parts of the Eastern Europe, etc. BBRV said the countries listed below the 50 countries with highest BNP would be entitled to the 99 USD EFIKA. That's a start anyway, the price for "the rest of us" would be somewhere around 299 USD - possibly a little more with the integrated XGI graphics chip.
But they can't say for sure before the Chinese production is finished and they have the boards in their hands.

Trust me, if the joke had been about B52s dropping tons of high explosives on noncombatants I would have responded something similar.

Look, you find him untrusty... but if you look around, there will be a lot of people that don't think the way you do, and looking at the alternative(s)... I find it quite trusty, at least in deleavering products and stick by them. | If you actually read my post you may notice I never mentioned anyone by name. What makes you think I "trust" amiga inc? Don't THEY own money to a former employee??
Yes, they do and I have ALWAYS found that dispicable. I don't trust several of the people who have tried to play fast and loose with those of us in the amiga community. I'm not about to repeat the old stories. They are available for research.
My point is that anyone who is STILL so naive as to believe anyone dropping in with BIG PROMISES is either 10 years old or as dumb as a wall. Isn't it time some people grow up and join the adults?_________________ "In terms of worship, I worship the God of Irony. That's the only God that I know exists." Terry Gilliam |

I don't know what comment BBRV made about suicide bombers, but I'll add that some people posting here certainly behave like suicide bombers. And trolling the trolls doesn't help either, whether its me, bbrv or Rogue.. I'm sure the community would be better off if everyone involved were to chill out and provide better answers.

Just as funny as when you read all the #### that's said by certain users on other forums about this site and some of its members and still seeing them come back here and post more.. sigh Those people talk about fanboy attitude, stupid threads and such.. Why can't some people just accept that NOT EVERYONE wants AROS, MOS or whatever? You are a sad bunch of people. You know who you are.
(not directed at you personally tmhg)
