BBRV, if you are reading this, You are banned for 30 days. Appeal to DaveyD if you feel I have been too zealous.

Indeed I think that just in this thread there is stuff for a lifetime ban.
However, I'm not sure this is the best thing: the more he went on, the more he proved how better it is that AOS is *not* in his hands.

edit: it was meant to be "he went on", not "we went on".

Some prefer stagnation, and what do you know, they've been rather well served all these years...

[sarcasm]Yeah, and thanks to BBRV and all his support in MorphOS, the OS evolved in all these years to having a non built-in TCP/IP stack and is a real menace to Linux, Solaris, Windows and even AmigaOS now.[/sarcasm]

Sometimes stagnation is better than decline.

Its a hard choice, Stagnation or BBRV.

I think I'll upset Pixie and go for Stagnation.

I won't object if someone wants to start a new thread.

It wont be the same. A post explaining what happened on this thread may take too long, for example:

bbrv spams with his blog and unrelated info,
his followers cheer him,
many other people object,
bbrv continues with his spam,
other people object,
his followers continue to cheer him,
bbrv continues to spam,
someone asks bbrv if s/he sent an e-mail to Amiga Inc asking for AmigaOS 4 license,
bbrv posts very unprofessional e-mail asking about AmigaOS 4, claiming that he have sent it,
his followers cheer him again,
some people object,
some other people said that he needs to contact them as well,
his followers cheer him once again,
many people object,
bbrv insults some random people,
.....
bbrv insults some other people, including Amiga Inc as well,
...
bbrv insults other people and abuses the netiquette
...
...
...

Tomazkid locks the threat.
thanks for the summary....it saves me from having to read 36 pages of bbrv c*r*a*p

@Mikey_C

Yay!! Finally someone kills this st00pid thread.

@thread

You realize he was just trying to ruffle feathers, right? I dunno why Bill Buck (I hardly believe Raquel Velasco could give 1/10th of a sh*t about Amiga) has this puerile attraction to trolling; that said, I think if he played his cards right here and coughed up a the cash to get OS4 ported to the Peg, that would do a lot to show goodwill to the red side of the community.

Why do you feel the need to live up to your Moobunny caricature.

36 pages of replies shows that people on this site want this conversation. Not everyone but enough.

If you don't like the conversation/are bored with the subject matter then don't read this thread. I just think you made an arbitrary and spurious decision - I hope you can reconsider.

There are certainly laws, which are to be respected.

There are ethical issues that we apply to the way we live our lives.

Oh, you mean like when you send people rubber checks? When you insult people privately AND publically? yeah, your "ethics" are really quite "impressive" - and false!

when you send or wire people a check, it's a contract. And you have broken many contracts with those bad checks.

How can a PM be a "private" communication when it comes from an anonymous source?

Accountability is an important issue. Being anonymous is a great thing, but in being anonymous one cannot expect anything to be private because it is not. The "privacy" button was pushed and it began before the message was sent.
Like when you sent me threatening PM's here and I then sent them to a moderator to deal with in the proper manner???
How's THAT for "Accountability"?

You don't know how to express yourself. conmunication is not your strong suit. maybe you need a fashion consultant.

There is very little conversation in those 36 pages.

I hope you don't really think that Mikey_C was just bored by this thread. He explained his reasons quite well and, indeed, he did not even need to as the thread itself is a monumental proof of unacceptable amount of vitriolic junk restlessly thrown by BBRV at the people here.

edit: sorry, Mikey_C, did not mean to stomp on your feet.

@Colin_Camper

Hey Colin_Camper.

As a moderator of this site I see the number of Complaints/Abuse reports being filed daily about BBRV on this particular thread. I have ignored it, because, as you say, I get a lot of flack outside Amigaworld for coming down too hard.

I have done my best to ignore it and take no action, because I am seen as a red troll. I log on here everynight and I have ignored all the reports against BBRV for weeks. However when people started complaining to me on IRC as well (Which is where I am most nights) I realised that something had to be done.

Now I don't know what reasons my fellow Amigaworld Admins/moderators have for not having dealt with it sooner, perhaps they too don't want the hassle this would cause.

If you cannot see how many times BBRV has broken this site's terms and conditions then I fear you are too anti-Amigaworld to see things objectively.

I think that given the number of complaints I have seen about BBRV on this thread, he has got off lightly with a 30 day ban
