Because Adam made some comments about new hardware in the "It´s done"-Thread: Are there any News about PowerVixxen (LT)?

@AP

He has made some comments in IRC as that seems to be his preferred medium of communication. I'll see if I can dig them out of my logs or if anyone else has them handy, feel free to post!

@AP

I was anxiously awaiting the stand-alone incarnation of the PV. I hope that materializes.

@Legion

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the LT, I have an A1200HD ready and waiting...

Me too. But I am interested in a stand-alone-solution (with faster CPU), too.

@utri007

According to Babelfish, there's something about an announcement the first week of January and the source may surprise some.

ACK? Nope - wouldn't be overly surprising if he'd got the A1200 add-ons to work.
SAM? Nope - most of us are sort of expecting that progress continues at a good pace.

Troika? Surely not. Would they dare to put out yet another announcement without anything really, really, really concrete to show (eg hardware actually running something)

That leaves 2 more possibilities...

Genesi? That would be surprising, unless Hyperion are really, really, really convinced that OS4 is theirs.

And finally...

Amiga Inc?

Now that would be surprising.

Yes, that would be, but I just don't see it. I'd be more inclined to believe that somebody in the consumer electronics world and most likely from Asia might be more likely if at all ever possible, like Sony, Samsung, etc.

Someone surprising, eh? The 10 on my list are Haagen Dasz, Nissan, Tesco, Virgin Atlantic, Lego, Lemsip, The Monkees, Gala Bingo, Amstrad and Phase-5.

Don't say I didn't give you the heads up.

@clebin

Yes and no.

My problem is that I work in IT industry, so I get my PCs free or really cheap.

And I really don't care how powerfull it would be, anyway it woul be better than my current Amiga configuration
