See my PM re X-Surf problems.

Noooo ! Reply in the thread please!

I have an X-Surf and have received my OS4 today, so will be undertaking installation tonight or tomorrow.

I'd like to know about any potential problems (and how to resolve them) before I try.

Thanks,

Chris.

Not good news then for Mediator Lt owners so a good job my Bvison came to the rescue. I though the the only difference was that the LT version had 2 less PCI slots and an AT power interface but seem not the case as far as OS 4.0 is concerned.

My documentation only listed a number of Mediator Vendor/Product ID's, and it seems yours wasn't in it. I can try building a new kernel with the ID's added, please contact me privately via EMail (Hans-JoergF@hyperion-entertainment.biz).

Just out of interest, have you tried installing the mediator's own 68k drivers?

The thought about the Elbox drivers did cross my mind however Rogue has posted on the topic so i'll hang fire and see if a revised kernel resolves the problem.

Well it was the space bar to get to the 15khz.
Thanks all.

Up and running on a TV but not my monitor.
No PCI cards found.

Using a Mediator.
Should I be using the Mediator install disk at all?

My install went to h....!!

I get nothing on my screen when booting from the floppy/CD, it boots perfectly from the CD after being started by the floppy and I can hear my monitor "pop" as it does when I gets output from a gfx card but it's like the signal is out of range so the screen remains black

Maybe my PIcasso IV gfx card is a bit rusty and is not up the the job

@Amigaz

Have you tried plugging in a TV to see what is going on?

Nope, but gonna plug hook up another monitor to my scandoubler, the scandoubler on my PIV died a month ago :(

Last resort would be to plug in my Cybervision PPC and see if I get any output

@Amigaz

It does that and then after a bit loads up.
At least on the TV anyway.

ahh...so something must be wrong with my PIV then, another project for JJ Boulet @ Amigacenter

arghh..and the CVision PPC won't fit without cutting up the drive cage or removing it

Must fit my CS PPC inside my A4000 mediator system instead

@Rogue

Is this likely to be a problem for other Mediator owners or just a problem with the LT?
Cheers

It works great on my mediator 4000, and other betatesters used it with their Mediator 1200, so I would guess it is because the LT has a different product ID.

Worked fine when I installed Mediator system files and graphic files and then ran the config utlity.
When I just installed the Mediator system files and did no config I could still select the Voodoo card.
Tested a screen mode and worked fine.
Save the screen mode and everything locked up.
Does every time I boot now.
